EMINEM - ON FIRE - PATREON REQUEST

Comments

Spiders have hearts in their abdomen G!

Cynyc6

I like this song.

Albert fish is A real jerk

What a random request lmao but anyways, I really like this song💜

Reina

Damn Stevie he just rappin lol

Goofy C

THIS IS A SNOOP DISS.

Zakariya

he's trying to go back to slim shady days.. and he's doing the shock value.

Davey Locker

He's obviously just goofin off with the lyrics, but the beat/flow/aggression of the song is what makes it a banger. Also the hook sucks, but that's kinda on purpose for the silliness of the song.. I personally head bang to this song every time I hear it because of the flow/aggression

Nick Gruttadauria

eh 😴

John Saunders

Facts: Beat was sick, cadence / flow / tempo were great. Lyrics were just lazy.

Marraxus

The Recovery Album is by far my favorite Eminem Album, that Album got me through one of the hardest times of my life and I still go back and listen to it when I need motivation or a reminder how far I've come. I love the Eminem show, MMLP1 frankly all of his Albums, but Recovery will always be my favorite 💯

Carla Correia

This is acid rap shady

tgood

exactly. It blows my mind that Sing For The Moment hasn't been covered yet.

Grapheen

Brook Hogan is Hulk Hogan's daughter lol he would get his ass whooped by Hulk Hogan, so he couldn't really physically whoop anyone's ass

Robert Shock

Not one of my favorites either. I enjoy the album though.

Michael Dumaine

I think you need to hear the Recovery album, the whole album was about self-motivating and pulling yourself out of the worst, this song is stuck in the middle of it as a bit of a 'Come at me bro' whilst displaying random lyricism. One of my favourite albums of all time. Not sure this album means much to anyone who didn't hear this going through tough shit, but I had this on loop during some of the worst times of my life.

Plain_23

Gotta remember the other songs on the recovery album too though. Not afraid, love the way you lie, talking to myself, cold wind blows, you’re never over, no love, space bound, Cinderella man, going through changes. All phat as songs. So I think when he says at the start of this songs that critics can never get their shit right and then does this boring as song to prove a point.

Ugs Lench

Damn. Rarely listen to this song. Recovery a great album though.

Gary Raffa

Mmlp2 is one of my favorite slept on albums. I listen to that at work alot. Ur right, his lyrical acrobats really started with recovery n mmlp2 went up a level in my mind. He’s been lyrically outdoing himself since

Gary Raffa

Major bar missed. Ghost Rider signed a contract with the devil but is antihero. Ghost writers

Chris Sturgill

Recovery is a concept album, as well. You're def right, there.

Jeremy Dunfee

Celebrity’s and rappers was talking shit about him before he dropped recovery so he did what they was talking about but proving he will still kill them with wack as shit and they would still listen and give him his views and bag

Jonathon Stafford

I quite liked it ☺️

Anne-Marie Thawes

It's not great still, but it's Better, if you listen to the album. Makes a bit more sense. Follows "Talkin' 2 myself" so I got the sense this is him just rambling to himself while trying to regain his fire 😅 Many far better songs on Recovery though.

Chris Bridge

Recovery is probably top 3 for me but it's mostly because of the general theme and my position in life when I heard it ya know. You're right, so subjective 😁 but we all love Em haha

Chris Bridge

I just wanna know who is requesting these wack Em tracks....??? He has SOOO many other dope ass songs but ppl keep requesting some of his dumbest work...smh

dennis pugh

I don't even remember this song?

Jimmy McMinn

Dude... this "lazy" shit was fucking groundbreaking, at the time. Literally.. all the most hardcore hiphop and rap dudes were all over this track and this whole album. The problem is exactly what you said it was. He is comparing it to further-improved versions of the same shit. The man thinks Wayne took No Love lol for the same reason. But it's either going to take a change in perspective or he will just never get it. Which is fine. Think of his Reaction to Bad Guy. Do you remember when you first heard the "Bronco Hat" line? I remember where I WAS. Like fuckin... 911... we had all heard Stan so much at that timr that as soon as it hit is it blew our brains out. He was like "oh, wait. Who is that" ... point being is there is nothing like being a fan of someone since day 1 and watching it all unfold. He just isn't going to get it when it comes to certain shit. It just is what it is, man. You can't just explain... 20 years to someone. And have them get it in time to react on a video lol but ya at the time this album was the most innovative rap album of our time and the furthest any rapper has ever been above the pack. At least sijce early, early days. That is a fact. And him not getting this song is another illustration that you just can't go back and get it all like that. Which is fine and all. Everyone had a different experience. But it does make me feel very fortunate to have been there. i used the bronco hat line because that and how it peogressed to the last verse was possibly the most profound impact an Em song ever had on me. It' a debate. But it's up there and probably #1. And he will NEVER experience it. He missed that. And there is no explaining something like that. Em falling off, Waynr taking his thrown, Em rapping 10 songs in a way that slayed like never before witnessed in rap... literally taking his thrown bavk in half an album after we all thought he was done for... while dropping stuff like the "almost made a song dissing lil waybe" and sharing the emotional shit... dude I didn't look at the track list. When the No Love beat came on I just knew it was some shit that was about to happen. When I heard the "Young Money" in the beginning I literally pulled over. My eyes mustve been HUGE. That is prob my fav rap moment, period. But... how do you explain all that? How do you even have him accurately judge a song like this? Do you play him every rap song from 2004-2010 over a 6 year period? Lol you know? Esp after going backwards. He is judging it off of the improved version, so it's already too late. It just is what it is, man. He wasm't there. Can't expect him to judge it the same. Not to mention he does have a certain key features he looks for in rap music, while disregarding others. Like everyone does, to whatever degree. He just likes what he likes and doesn't pat attention to other stuff as much. And this song is light on those, anyway.

Jeremy Dunfee

Relapse gets a bad rap in terms of... people overlooking the skill in the writing and execution... but dude, that album is.... you have to be damn near a Juggalo to really love it. No offense to Juggalos. But you really have to be a very specific type of person. And I think to be that type of person it's hard to celebrate a lot of the very opposite shit that makes Eminem Eminem. A lot of his BEST characteristics.... Relapse is clearly ass to most people and I get why. I recognize the skill in it and it is still ass to me 7/8 of the time. I think Stevie will like it because Stevie doesn't go around bumping Em, anyway. He just looks for the skill in certain places then bounces. I think Stevie may miss a lot of things looking for a certain key few characteristics... while passing others up.... but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's what HE looks for in rap... what HE enjoys... he caught onto the importance of cadence from Em. Which is dope.... but anyway, I think he'll like Relapse. Because he is looking for those key thinga he enjoys and he isn't the type of dude to have to LISTEN to an album, afterward, anyway... that is the hard part with Relapse.. lol i think he'll like Revival, too. Same reasons.

Jeremy Dunfee

I’m with you with this reaction. It really isn’t as good of a song as I remembered it being

David Gonzalez

Yeah, this song was not my favorite...like you said, it has it's moments

Wayne Reimer

So crazy to me how ppl can hear the same thing and form opposite opinions bruh! Music subjective af 😂 that's why it's so great!

Lauren

Blasphemy! Em thinks encore is better than Relapse so he dnt know either! The flow and rhyme scheme of Stay Wide Awake alone beats Recovery and 3, 4 5 are skips for me. Relapse I can listen to with zero skips and the production on that album is 🔥. Love Recovery too tho Cold Wind Blows one of his best intros to an album to me.

Lauren

Relapse was him learning to rap again so we all know why it sucked but it sucked

Miguel Medina

Relapse is worse than recovery tho. Dont get me wrong, i dont like recovery much either but theres more bars and better music behind recovery than relapse. Even em knows relapse was ass.

Miguel Medina

I hear you Trey i guess it’s just my opinion so that doesn’t make it fact. The silly songs are just not my cup of tea. Even the songs i don’t like i can always find something in there that i gravitate to whether it’s flow, cadence, rhyme schemes, double/triple entendres but doesn’t make it a good song. His sound can turn people off but it’s hard to pinpoint his sound because it’s changed/evolved so many times over the years. Part of what makes Eminem have such a large mainstream appeal is he has a style for everyone. Uplifting anthems, relationship ballads, club songs, radio hits, silly/shock value songs, serious real life songs that’ll make you cry or just boom bap rappity rap for the real hip hop heads. Majority of his music are songs get better and better as the song goes on and his last verse are always must listen in any track. Also most of his music needs to be listened to more than just once to really understand what he’s doing with the track and what he’s saying. Back to what i said about his “sound” people that aren’t big Eminem fans don’t like how his music sounds. He has such a distinct and unique style that it sounds like nothing else around. I understand that gripe that people have but that automatically sets them up to dislike his music. Even when i don’t like how he sounds on a track i have to really focus on the lyrics and the delivery but the average hip hop fan isn’t going to keep listening all the way through even tho the best part of the song never gets listened to. I agree about it coming w the territory when you’re that big and it’s no fault of his own but stans can be made to look so ridiculous.

Jordan Jansen

I totally agree about what you said about the stans, but when your as big as em you gotta expect people to be obsessed with you and only you, not the music. You nailed it on that one. But I cant agree about you saying songs like "fack" "we made you" and so on are bad, I dont think they are bad songs at all, they are satire ya know? Hes having fun saying some stupid shit and usually he does really well at it. He's being funny, shocking, and original while keeping his cadence and delivery great. Plus he is just having fun and why shouldn't he have fun with it? I understand he doesn't like those songs now but that doesn't make them shitty. They are just silly

Trey Soucie

Not a fan of this song or Recovery album on the whole. Can't wait until you get into Relapse (one of my favorite Em albums).

Lauren

Gotta disagree with ya on this one, love when em gets in this lane, hes not saying much but you can tell he is just having fun fucking with the English language.

Trey Soucie

The song isn’t his best for sure. Solid reaction Stevie. But hey, the dude has a 300+ song discography. They can’t all be dope to everybody. I can only wonder what dude still has in the vault. He says he’s always in the studio writing and recording. I think the day Eminem dies we will be showered with unreleased material lol.

Tom Zoeter

This is not a disstrack btw. It’s just random

Tom Zoeter

Bro, do Almost Famous from the same album

Tom Zoeter

This beat coulda been one fire ass song man

Jason King

I love Eminem as much as anyone but it sucks that the “stans” ruin it for so many people. So many people are turned off by em for no other reason then the way his fans are. A good majority of “stans” aren’t true hip hop Fans but just fans of Eminem. Since he is widely considered to be one of the best they run with it and act like he’s on top and nobody is even close. He is an insanely skilled Emcee and his range is ridiculous but they act like he’s never put out a bad record. Em will be the first to admit he hates some of the music he put out and how it makes him cringe but stans will find a way to call him a genius for tracks like “we made you”, “rain man”, “FACK” when in reality they are just bad songs. Lost in Vegas was the first reaction channel i subscribed to and in the beginning they would do a lot of EM songs. Neither of the guys were huge Eminem fans but they really did appreciate his greatness but were objective about it. They quit doing his songs because If they said anything that wasn’t flat out praise the stans would attack

Jordan Jansen

It’s really not

Tom Zoeter

Fair, it was the only rationale I had at the time for not putting it on my playlist...

Toni-Ann

Stevie. You gotta stop reacting to 2010 Em as if it’s 2020 Eminem. Was this a lazy song? Yes. Was it still better than 99% of shit out at the time? Hell ya! Did he make it lazy to prove a point? Yup. There’s rhyme schemes in this flow that were unheard of at the time. You have to appreciate the progression. This was before the days of “Ringer” and “Marsh”.

Kyle Stephenson

Oh, I agree 100% that Em is being just as "lazy as all the other people out there" on this track. Beat, vocals, lyrics, ALL of them are absolutely lazy. But for Em to go THIS lazy on a track? I'm sorry, but even with Em being lazy, he can do far better than this.

Herrzimm

1:42 sums it up nicely. It was "cute" as far as lyrics go. But as far as flow, beat, message, and overall "sounding pleasant or not"? Nope, this track doesn't have it. THIS is what Em haters will use to dismiss him. Not because it is "bad" by anyone's standards for other rappers, but because it is a "bad track from Em". This does NOT showcase Em's talent as a writer or a rapper, or selecting the beat to flow on. I mean, you just compare this track to Cold Wind Blows and it is a night and day argument over how talented an artist is.

Herrzimm

i dont get y people requested this song, they should have requested sing for the moment, i think its one of ems top 10 songs at least

a hz

I agree, I think Relapse even songs where isn’t saying much like Hello, I got a feeling the flow and cadence will get Stevie going, and Em was low key in his bag on Relapse on a lot of tracks. I think a lot of people just couldn’t get with the shocking lyrics and weirder themes he went for. Stevie’s already reacted to Stay Wide Awake though and loved it because of the bars and cadence so I can easily see him liking at least 2/3rds of Relapse for sure.

Martyn Rogers

The Hook is mimicking the public. He is showing what sloppy and lazy writing looked like back then. Not my fav track but I understand what he was doing, he IS BEING LAZY!

Toni-Ann

Well, my bad. I definitely requested this at some point in 2020. Can’t remember when or why. To me, this showcases how unique his rhyme patters are, the multi syllables, crazy imagination... but seeing stevie reaction, yeah, cant deny that he’s talkin some nonsense, lol. this scheme tho, i wanna see the color scheme syllable broken down: “listen dawg, christmas is off, this is as soft as it gets, this isnt golf, this is a blisterin assault, those r ur wounds, this is the salt, so get lost, shit dissin me like pissin off the wizard of oz, wrap a lizard in gauze, beat you in the jaws, with it, grab the scissors and saws, cut out ur livers gizzards and balls, throw u in middle of the ocean in a blizzard with jaws”

cr!t!c

Always keep it real Stevie. Thank u for not being fake

Mike

Do “deja vu” by em you’ll like it Stevie

Michael manchester

Who’s requesting this shit.. a kid??! Lol Eminem has way better songs then this man

Anthony Spence

It definitely ain’t my favourite em song😂

Cillian Doherty

Fair play for being honest. Only thing u missed was the request from that super Stan 🤣

M Smalls

Yeah nah that song was whack! Keep it real..

Scott Flaherty

Not my fav...u should react to the live venom on top of Empire State Building on kimmel https://youtu.be/bdCyEBdUSTE it’s really cool to watch. They filmed it with all iPhones..xoxo BLD

Deann Bennett

I like it.

Roobix13

He’s making fun about all this wack shit out there and rappers or the people call it fire while it’s literally bullshit. It’s obviously not his best song but to me it serves his purpose perfectly.

Tobias Montana

He has heard 2-3 tracks from relaps and he liked it for the rapping and schemes even tho he had accents

Flovin Fossdalsá

No he won't, relapse was all stupid accents and shock value. Yeah em was rapping rapping but I don't think stevie will like relapse

Alec Harris

Don't really like recovery album.

Justin Waterhouse

pls do Eminem - Underground 👊🏽🙏🏽

Abdulaziz Alshaiji

Deja Vu from Relpase, please, been requesting for months now lol.

Jack Agnew

Relapse album. Pick something from there

pepe norway

You gonna love The relapse album

Flovin Fossdalsá

What’s with all these studio album request. Come on stans put Stevie on Eminem & Redman Off The Wall

VeteranReacts

Your face said it all throughout the reaction! Haha! Never liked the song but hey it’s all about taste.

Kostia

Yeah I never liked this song ... wack ass beat

Anthony Spence

Terrible song. He does have some

Ryan Grant

The Eminem show bruh lol

Anthony Spence

After listening to on fire like 3 times right now I can confidently say that its not better than any song on recovery

Demetrius McDaniel

Talkin to myself is top 3 on that album for me haha

Cory Ferm

Stevie can you react to the video of busta talking about the making of calm down lol I think you'll enjoy it.

Scott Abbott

Yeah thats what i was asking. Did you do many songs already?

Sergiy Angelyniauk

Hahahaha he said what did he just say? Ya he said poop 💩 hahaha

Jarrad

Na, he's doing Eminem Show.

Jorge Perez

What!?!? Idk, its hard to pick because unlike most albums theres not really a song that's bad on that album

Demetrius McDaniel

I put talking 2 myself as the worst and then this following

Jay Carter

He wasted that badass beat

matt thompson

Whats the first, because after looking at the tracklist again im not mad at that statement lol

Demetrius McDaniel

You should do Ridaz from Recovery! I think you’ll like that shit!

Nikita

I like this style of Eminem it’s flexing cadence and rhyme patterns and it’s kinda a throwback to his acid rap days in a way

tgood

Devils Night is one of the best albums imo

Hakim Aziz

Recovery is def a slept on album. I think it’s a phenomenal album, but I think this is the second worst song in that project

cameron mayer

"Its apparent that my parents weren't parents at all" this line always makes me feel sad 😔

Hakim Aziz

Idk why it was requested my second least favorite track off the recovery album

cameron mayer

Also fight music and shit can happen. From d12 album. So dope

Ryan

Felt like we were on welfare but wealthy, compelled me to excel when school had failed me, expelled me, and when the principle would tell me I was nothing and wouldn’t amount to shit, I made my first million and counted it.

Ryan

Eminem-3am and Framed

Omar Zaime

Stevie this is pretty much the worst song on the recovery album lol don’t take it too seriously.

Jeremy

Did he start doing the album review yet?

Sergiy Angelyniauk

Listen to D12 american psycho and relevation, skip bizarre verses cus they're bizarre.

Hakim Aziz

You dabbling into 'Recovery' now? This song is slept on just like this album. I feel like recovery is where he went up a level as far as lyricism highkey.

Demetrius McDaniel

First time hearing this track tbh , also please do the SwayXKamikaze interview

Yunah

The spider in the snow part at the beginning of the track meant he was cold hearted by throwing a spider in the snow because Spider-Man wears a spider over his chest (his heart). So if you Three your heart in the snow... you’d be cold hearted.

Angelo

Not on of my favorite em tracks. But man what he can do with words. All you can do is stand up and applause.. and classic em saying fuck you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
