Sigh, I really wish people would normalize audio levels before uploading. I damn near blew up my speakers because I had the audio so high to hear anything here, that when I put on some music afterwards, the volume was wall shakingly loud. It's two clicks in Adobe Premiere to normalize audio.

yeah the show is 100% made for little girls that was the idea behind it but faust didn't want just simply girly she wanted them to be empowered and appeal to everyone and then the writers they wrote it for kids but later added in jokes and referances that only adults would get. it reminded me a lot of like tiny toons and animaniacs. ohh and a little phrase to help down the line with pinkie. "it's pinkie don't question it". glad to see you reacting to MLP look forward to the fun and hilarity to come.

just a fair warning, the show started off very episodic with not much of an objective, but later on they made it have more of a storyline like episodes in parts and stuff.

To be honest, the show can be a little slow at the start- like most cartoons (think of the first episodes of Steven Universe) but it starts picking up pretty quickly. It starts to get really good and branch out after season three. I think you're gonna enjoy the show! Just don't be too harsh with the first couple seasons lol

You will get sort of a plot in the beginning. But as the series gained popularity from more than it's intended viewers. The writers took note and developed better stories, packed with more references to other shows and fandoms, they then started using the show to talk to it's own fandom in a way. All while developing a solid plot.

It was target to female but the males love this show as well. Me and my cousin would watch it when it came on, his favorite was pinkie pie, mine was rainbow dance and apple jack. I also use to love watching power rangers.

Ay ay ay ay we gonna pony up. Mane Six bringing more bois to the herd. Some stuff for you before we hop in, Scoots. There are movies and side-stories that will start to take place right as Season 3 ends. It being the shortest season in the series. I recommend capping off S3 with a viewing of the Equestria Girls movie, as it takes place a week after the last episode of S3, and right before S4. It's not mandatory (later movies will be!) but it will introduce you to characters you'll be better off knowing about later. Season 4 and beyond can also be considered a different animal altogether. New writers, new ideas, everything changes, and Season 3 actually ends in a way that the show could have ended completely. Its own happily ever after.
