2023-04-04 08:57:02 +0000 UTCThe Catalyst Comet is a reoccurring phenomenon that comes to the Earth every 1000 years that brings great change, hence the name "Catalyst". A long time ago a catalyst comet came down and destroyed all life on earth including Urgence Evergreen and Gunter, this comet brought about The Lich, the mutagenic bombs simply reawakened The Lich's physical form by allowing him to mutate biological material caught in the blast. Another Catalyst Comet landed which brought about the soul of a great hero, it reincarnated into a butterfly, then into some alien junk, then into Shoko, then into Finn. The new Catalyst Comet is coming after another 1000 years and is awakened by the interference of Orgalorg, it gains consciousness and offers Finn the opportunity to basically exist as energy rather than a physical form, which Finn declines and Martin accepts.

2023-04-02 20:34:33 +0000 UTCThere's gonna be a lot of lore drops in the coming seasons so gear up. Adventure time will tie up most loose ends and answer most questions by the end. Also Idk what the comet itself was, but I'm assuming it's just a cosmic entity that Finn was destined to encounter. And the comet offered Finn a chance to free himself from his world and reality, for a new type of existence. I doubt that Martin became the comet, he's just experiencing life in a new mode of existence. Also, the Litch did not come from the comet, the litch was born from mutagenic bombs used in the great mushroom wars. Thats why when we were first introduced to him, he was gaining power by absorbing a mutagenic puddle. Thats in the alternate universe when Finn wished the litch never existed, the Litch still came to be after a bomb went off.
