Since he voiced that, no one wanted to give revival a chance.

2021-01-14 01:06:10 +0000 UTCI usually side with Em, but it's really clear his meddling (or rather, the label's) messed up Slaughterhouse. If you listen to their first album as an independent and compare it to their Shady debut, it's bloody night and day. The beats were way too poppy and the hooks were largely garbage but worse than that the rhyming wasn't even close to the first one. That said, at least Em acknolwedges that he messed up, and he has obviously learned from it because he has signed Griselda since then and has not touched their shit at all. He just let them run free. Griselda is basically building on the movement started by SH (even though they are very very different stylistically) Joe said on his podcast that he warned SH that moving to the pop sound wouldn't work, but no one listened to him. You also get that perspective on Slaughtermouse, which you listened to. That being said, Joe was still a punk bitch for being so disrespectful haha but I do not blame him at all for not wanting to put out another album on Shady. I was a huge SH fan back in the day and that debut album is one of my biggest dissapointments I've ever been through as a fan of hip hop. At least we got the fire ass mixtape though. If you want some SH songs to react to from those albums as a comparison let me know

2021-01-14 01:03:16 +0000 UTCI have to admit that I'm not very keen to watch reactions to Revival. I love it and all the negativity around it has started to wear me out. Specially when there are people trashing it while admitting at the same time that hey have not listened it. That reaction channel that said that got moved out from my watch list though lol. The funny thing is that I saw one channel start to listen it through again and now on this second round they have been wondering what they listened on the first time because on this time they actually like the songs. But my feeling is that the negativity that started before it came out colored a lot of opinions and people didn't really listen it with their own ears. And a lot of those opinions were put out without listening the songs. I think I read from somewhere that Budden example has admitted later that he didn't listen untouchable before saying that it is worst song ever.

I know he says he couldn’t of made recovery without it but I genuinely believe he couldn’t have made all albums after that that’s my opinion. However I do believe he is starting to realise that it has a cult following and that’s why he says take them back to accents on discombobulated to see the reaction.

But Buden goes around town talking about how he was upset that Em wasn't "doing enough to promote Slaughterhouse". Yeah, Joe, Em isn't "doing enough" because he is expecting YOU to be out there doing tours (which members of D12 have admitted you were late or simply didn't show up to), hitting the airwaves hyping up the group (which you didn't do unless it was connected to money or Em's projects), and getting the word out that the mix-tapes were just "teasers" of what Slaughterhouse was going to put out, which you didn't do as YOU decided that since the others were putting out mix-tapes of their own stuff they weren't giving YOU the chance to be the star of. Simply put, Joe, YOUR ego got in the way of Slaughterhouse for one reason or another and you took the failure of Slaughterhouse to be a huge hit personally and took it out on people who wanted YOU to make it your OWN THING ALL ALONG! YOU started the beef with Em, and the fact that YOU still refuse to go on wax to respond shows that you KNOW BETTER than to go on wax because Em has the receipts to destroy you.

2021-01-13 22:56:07 +0000 UTCI love how a lot of reactors from YouTube responded to Em by saying "Oh, he's coming after me". NO, he wasn't. He was going after a specific TYPE of reactors on YouTube. The ones who would sit there, listen to a bar or two, then try to break down the bar they caught while letting the music continue and missing at least another 10-15 bars and double meanings. Or worse, the ones that would sit there and listen to a track and then go "Yeah, that was good" and pretty much move onto the next track and do the same thing. BUT.... The ones who paused the track, who broke down the bar, who rewound the track to make sure they caught what was said and how it was said, and THEN would expand on how it sounded to them or if they thought it was a hard hitting bar or noticed the amount of work it would have taken someone to write that type of bar down? THOSE type of reactors, Em doesn't really have a problem with. Those type or reactors (Like Mr. Knight) are the type he LIKES, because it was like the "old days" when people would wear out tapes and memorize lyrics by playing one line at a time over and over until it was drilled into their memory. THOSE reactors, Em is okay with. All the "other type" of reactors he can't stand because they aren't really "reacting" to the music so much as just doing the "reaction for clicks", not "learning and evaluating the track for talent".

Reactors were just starting to pop when Revival dropped and some of them hated on Em so I was so happy for Em when he dropped this diss track and I watched those reactors eat their words while their jaws dropped... Most let the bars fly over their head on Revival and they no longer hate on Em. They use Em to pump up their channel now. It's a fire diss track to Reactors and all the Revival haters!

The Revival album had more than one political track, too much Trump Hate and too many Pop features and the young generation wasn't having it and bars flew over heads. The Trump cypher started the stir, before the album came out... we see now just how much power and influence Trump supporters had/have. Em had more to say on it but backed down... Em doesn't get this kind of hate outside of US. In my experience anyway, someone correct me if I am wrong...
