I was like what's going on in here, and then I was glued too! The visuals are insane and I watched it a lot back in the day, the flower scene is still vivid in my mind to this day that shit was so trippy...lol

No appreciation for the "individual", nor any "support" for creative thinking or simple human decency. You are turned into "Yet another brick in the wall" of society, no matter how much you might have "stood out from the crowd" if you were encouraged to express yourself all along. Basically, "Shut up, do as you are TOLD because that is all you are good for" vs, "Stand up and be noticed for WHO you are." (Edit) It also explains why "youth" always tends to "embrace rebellion" far more than any other group, no matter the gender, the race, the economic or social status. It is ALWAYS the "younger person" who is likely to rebel against the system IN SOME WAY. Mostly because whenever the "system" gets hold of them, the first thing they do is try to crush that individual spirit.

You need to get the "jamming" and "deep" stuff first, THEN jump into the more laid back and mellow stuff to get a better understanding of just how versatile Pink Floyd really is. I mean, don't get me wrong, I LOVE almost everything by Pink Floyd, but there IS a proper order of being exposed for "the first time" to the group. And jumping feet first into the "mellow" stuff isn't for everyone.

The song was about how teachers could use violence to keep kids in line, but teachers over used the violence because of at home issues and because of how strict it was there was no creativity able to be shown so everyone was just coming out the same person, just another brick in the wall. Don’t quote me though I love the song but it came out before I was born
