DR. DRE - TOPLESS - FT. EMINEM & NAS

Um....Def not what I was suspecting from EM but Nas showed the fuck up!

DR. DRE - TOPLESS - FT. EMINEM & NAS

Comments

This was a reference-verse for Dre that Em did, lmao. Y’all are trippin’ out.

Notebook.

That was definitely wrote by Em with the intention of Dre laying the vocals, I guarantee that song was never supposed to be released. I'm not even sure where Stevie found this one bc I thought for sure I had heard every single little thing out there with Em on it but this was a first time listen for me.. Gotta go do sum research now..

Clay Thomas

He's love and respect Nas so much, I think this was one of the reason.

Anna Lee

This was a reference track for Dre’s Detox. The track was Dr Dre feat Nas - Topless. TI and Em layer the reference track. Em even lowers his tone and raps with the same accident as Dre. There’s a few more reference tracks out there for Detox that leaked.

Stephen Carmack

Stevie! Please do a reaction to Eminem's verse in ''My Life''.

Thomas Lee

Way off Larry Botts this was way after encore

steven

Eminem, Nas, Black Thought & Hopsin...... would love to see these 4 monsters on a track together.

ls1_reaper

Yo Stevie I hope you read the comments, people already explained what happened including the first comment

DarkShine

Read the comments above

DarkShine

Lol it’s written for Dre

ace cxxx

I remember getting a leaked version of crack a bottle where Eminem rapped like he was Dre for dre’s verse sounded weird as hell hearing em imitate Dre lol

cameron mayer

Let's call a spade a spade. Em's verse was trash. We know what he's capable of and that wasn't even close to a passable verse.

Ahmad

Okay thanks all, I didn't have all the details. I had just heard about this stream that Royce did where he said he wasn't gonna be private about the tracks he wrote for Dre, Diddy and others in the past - https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/royce-da-59-flexes-ghostwriting-credits-for-diddy-and-dr-dre-news.102386.html

Toni-Ann

Expecting

Chris Sturgill

It’s the worst verse Em ever done

Elisha Thomas

I bet em has whole albums rappin like snoop or xzibit or 50 especially from 2000-2006

D Rock

Just a verse em wrote for Dre and rapped in in Dre voice lol

D Rock

Sounds like T.I was also singing a reference verse for Dre. Called Himself the doc and made like 15 Dre references lmao

Austin

Well after reading these comments no need for me to explain 😂😂

TipToe

Yes, that’s exactly what happened Em wrote that verse for dre and he was performing it to make dre walk on it like dre’s style that’s why he had the voice imitation as dre but then dre didn’t do it so it sat a long time in the vault then it got leaked obviously

Mubarak

Yes Em wrote it, yes he rapped the verse as reference for Dre, No it’s not ghostwritten as Dre credits all writers therefore they are not „ghosts“, just writers.

Tobias Montana

We can only imagine what would happen if Dre ever opens the vault. Imagine the amount of Eminem songs must be in Dre’s vault and Em’s own vault, as Em has been in the studio every day for more than 2 decades!!!!!!!!

Tom Zoeter

Yes he wrote for Dre (the message f.e.) but not as a ghostwriter as he got credited. Dre never claimed he wrote the shit he rapped and credited his writers (Cube, Royce, snoop, Em...) therefore he worked with writers but not not „ghost“writers.

Tobias Montana

Sounds like Em’s verse was a ghost-written reference verse for Dre

Nick D

Yeah when he was 19

Aydin Shahtakhtinskiy

Stevie better read these comments lol

Hayden

Hey Stevie this is a reference track lol

matt thompson

He wrote that for dre, layed the verse for dre to show him how to rap it and the song leaked after that. If the song would have came out it would have been dre rapping that verse

Trey Soucie

Come on Stevie!!! That was pretty dam obvious that Em was rapping as Dre showing him how the song should sound. SMH

Ryan

😂😂😭 Stevie reaction priceless

Lauren

That didnt even sound like em at all at all voice was low pitched and weak wondering if this came out in the transition period never heard this one

ZACHARY HORVATH

I never heard this before but the comments say all, I'll just add I recently learned Royce has been credited for some Dre tracks, apparently Royce was quietly a ghost writer for Dre once.

Toni-Ann

That's def was for Dre. he even mimic his flow and voice....

Peu Oliver Guimarães

Lol damn how many people need to explain the same thing? Nobody reads the other comments? I never heard this but was like wtf was that? These comments explain everything tho

Mike

Aloha Knight Nation, FU*CK OFF —- Kid Rock (B.C before country) ft Eminem Mahalo Nui 🤙🏾🤙🏾

King_honey

It’s a reference track/ verse for Dre. This song leaked.

Jeremy

Hey Stevie, this is a reference track for Dre. Em has always been laying vesrses for Dre to use, that's why he is layed back on the verse and doesn't do anything special, and imitates Dre's tone. Dre probably just asked Em to write a chill verse for him. TI's verse is also for Dre.

Aydin Shahtakhtinskiy

This is not an actual song. They added that into the track

Zakaria

His cadence is like that because he is writing it and recording it for Dre to lace his vocals over haha. He is even imitating Dres vocal tone and the lyrics are supposed to be for Dre to spit.

I swear I am getting off the internet soon

Yeah this was a track that was supposed to be on Detox, even if you listen to Em's cadence it sounds dated. He was prolly on the tail end of Encore and hella high and this is when he was getting fat. Lazy verses do exist within his catalog. But thankfully it's only a handful. Your reaction was priceless though b. 🤣🤣🤣

Larry Botts

This is Em rapping as Dre...showing him how the lines will sound on a reference track

Anna

Stevie Em writes and records Dre’s verses, he’s done that on a couple songs. Initially it’s supposed to be Dre & Nas only

Jay Farrell

Haha yeah this is not an Em verse. This is a leaked 'reference' track where Em is rapping as Dre. If the track had been finished Dre would have laid the vocals. Em doesnt just write Dres lyrics he crafts his flows too haha. T.Is verse is also written from Dres perspective. Assuming dre would have chosen a verse for the final song One of my all time fave nas verses though, shame a final mastered version never came out. Think this is one of the thousand tracks Dre produced for Detox.. such a shame coz the beat and chorus slaps

I swear I am getting off the internet soon
