2023-09-09 08:13:05 +0000 UTCI would argue that Finn is trying to help Simon, he just doesn’t understand that the same methods that worked for him (hall of egress, etc.) wouldn’t work for Simon because their problems stem from different reasons. Finn is struggling with Jakes death and so is going back to what helped him with troubles before and is throwing himself into bigger adventures, whereas Simon feels like he doesn’t belong considering he’s pretty much been plucked out of his own time, and so he doesn’t need to brought further into the weird world of Ooo like Finn, but rather the opposite.

2023-09-03 07:00:30 +0000 UTCI'm loving the show so far! Finn's behavior makes sense in the context of Distant Lands. He distracted himself with "adventures" to avoid the sadness of losing Jake. It only makes sense that he would try the same approach with Simon.
