All that was just making fun of how if you put two geeks together they will go on and on about all this stuff that happened in their favorite show or RPG session while everyone else is standing around like "What are those two even going on about?" Also, Applejack is a must-have if you're taking 3 ponies on an adventure. You take Twilight for magic, Applejack for strength, and then you take either Pinkie for chaos or RD for agility for a well-rounded group. Sorry to Rarity or Fluttershy fans. Rarity would be good for precision magic, and Fluttershy could command or tame animals, but those two abilities are too specialized to be overly useful.

2023-08-31 23:16:24 +0000 UTCThe "tone" of the show you're referring to probably has a lot to do with the original series was intended to end at the end of season 3 when Twilight became a princess. But by that time, the Fandom had already blown up in wild proportion. And because Hasbro and DHX like money, they gave the show a massive budget. This allowed the writers, and animators to be more creative. And also allowed for references from the Fandom to be included. Also, they're using a new animation suit (moved from Adobe Animate/Flash to Toon Boom Harmony) that allows for better character rigging, and better animation.
