Technically, her book IS wrong. Many Turtle and Tortoises BRUMATE (Not Hibernate), but it depends on the climate they're native to. Hibernation is nearly as described. Those who hibernate tend to slow down, moving less, sleeping more- they mostly rely on the fat reserves they built during the spring and summer. Bears are well known for this. Also, bunnies do NOT hibernate. They slow down somewhat- but they do not hibernate. Those who brumate are reptiles. Some species of snakes, turtles, tortoises, and lizards brumate during cold periods. It doesn't actually have to be winter for cold temperatures to trigger their brumation behaviour- it just has to be cold enough. They don't actually sleep like hibernation- they still move around, bask (Since they cannot control their temperature.), and drink. They may accept food- but not very much. Some turtles will bury themselves DEEP in the ground. In fact, some owners of pet box turtles will dig 4-5 feet into the ground and bury their turtles for the winter.

2023-10-31 02:01:50 +0000 UTCthe reason dash was over reacting was because she was losing him forever this episode was about dealing with the loss of someone you love not them taking a vaction or something but gone forever it hit all the stages of loss so well and kept it kid frindly. as for trouble shoes this was seen as huge episode back in the days because the CMC actually helped someone else with thier cutie mark rather then only doing it for their own good. cant wait for the rest of the season the episodes are fire coming up till the end

Also, Tanks for the Memories came out just a week or two before one of my dogs was put down (he had been diagnosed with cancer six months earlier), so that episode was really relevant for me when it came out.
