Just checking in :)
Added 2019-04-16 22:34:08 +0000 UTCHi everyone, just checking in. I wanted to thank all my awesome patrons and ask for any feedback on the longer levels I have been creating for you :)
- Are you enjoying them overall?
- What would you like to see more of?
- Are you happy overall or would you like to see some changes?
I am really grateful for each and everyone of you who are supporting me on this journey. Thank you :)

Thanks for the feedback Vedran, There's some interesting ideas in there. I'll also been thinking about creating one large linear/story game where it ends and then starts from the same room as you mentioned :) I'll look more into it :)

2019-04-27 20:23:26 +0000 UTCI love the long levels and I love how some items are revisited through several puzzles. What I don't like are recently introduced "do something quickly" puzzles (like "pull the chain and run to the lift in the next room" recently). I see "Monkey Go Happy" as an easy, relaxing adventure, not a quick-click action. Also, I often play without sounds, so I don't get the "something did happen, but obviously not in this room" sound hints. This _could_ be resolved by adding comic-type "rumble", "boom", etc. texts. A suggestion: maybe make some thematic levels. For example, 314 could be pie/pi related, 333 could have a baby Devil, etc. Another thematic idea could be several levels with a common theme. Like, a monkey trying to open a mountain pass which in the end reveals a castle. In the next game, the monkey is trying to enter that same castle, with a sneak preview of the first room when the castle door opens. In the next one, the monkey is in the castle, starting from that room, maybe trying to get to the basement/dungeon (which leads to the next game), etc. One thing I'd like to ask for: more even releases. Instead of Thu, Fri, Sun, maybe release on Mon, Wed or Thu, and Sat? Waiting through the first half of each week sometimes seems so long...

2019-04-26 22:09:29 +0000 UTCThanks for the idea Victor. I'd love to make something special for my patrons but right now I'm just trying to get comfortable with the new workload. That is why the stages are being released at the end of the week. I need to catch up a little and then I can release them several days apart from each other :)

2019-04-20 09:28:42 +0000 UTCHey Robyn I'm not an outsider here. I also have to admit that the longer stages are awesome, and I'm looking forward to it every single week. It's like a nice treat at the end of a long week. And, as also mentioned above in this thread, I do not understand either why all stages are coming out around the weekend and that they're not spread apart. What would be awesome, though, is if you can do a special bonus stage for us patrons for every four longer stages, where the clue's not given in the backpack after collecting all 10 mini monkeys hidden all around the stage, but in between all the other clues. Then it's up to us to figure out what clue should not be used in the actual stage but instead be used for the bonus stage. That'd be awesome!

2019-04-20 01:27:40 +0000 UTCI love the longer levels and I agree with Reed. Solving some of the puzzles is about exploration and discovery. It took me forever to figure some of them out, and sometimes it was totally by accident. Keep up the great work!

2019-04-17 21:25:30 +0000 UTCI like the long versions. They are complicated enough, but not too much. I wouldn't mind a little more complicated, but I know there is a group dynamic at work here. I like that you are adding different puzzles, such as turning a wheel in one room might make something happen in another. Solving the puzzles are about exploring, trying something, observation, and elimination. And, as someone said, I'm impressed you can put these out week after week.

2019-04-17 16:35:11 +0000 UTCFor me, everything is ok. The longer challenges are more interesting.

2019-04-17 16:22:56 +0000 UTCI have no clue how you make so many of these so quickly. I can't even imagine what I would ask for...

2019-04-17 13:07:52 +0000 UTCI love all the games and I've played them all a few times each. I look forward to the new games every week. Thank you so much.

2019-04-17 10:58:32 +0000 UTCI enjoy playing all the games and am amazed at myself for picking up quite a lot of the clues quite quick. I always look forward to the next game and the longer stages sometimes need the help of the walkthrough to assist. Thank you.

2019-04-17 07:00:28 +0000 UTCYes, i also would like that! I always use a sniping tool to save codes thats needed in the game. And then i cant play the game in fullscreen becuase i need to have a window open beside the game window

2019-04-17 06:49:46 +0000 UTCYour fantastic journey is my journey too Robin, and we are supporting each other along its thrilling paths! So thanks and thanks again to you! To me the longest levels are perfect as they are, with no changes. I love dealing with engaging puzzles and take a lot of notes, included drawing my own maps. I don't like referring to walkthroughs and I have rather leaving a level pending to go back later. I have a notebook with a list of all levels and a cross besides the ones pending. When I finally manage to make those cute monkeys stop crying I jump on my chair and erase the cross :D

2019-04-17 05:45:44 +0000 UTCI didn't mean all of them, just a special edition.

2019-04-17 04:02:35 +0000 UTCDuck GO Happy, Chicken GO Happy, Kitten GO Happy..... :) Ha Ha..... That's a lot of animals to make happy. It will take me a couple of weeks to catch up and release early :) so please be patient.

2019-04-17 03:59:16 +0000 UTCI think I get what you're saying, having a sort of collection of the clues you've discovered inside your inventory. I'll think about it a little more.
www.monkeyhappy.com Robin Vencel - (Pencilkids)
2019-04-17 03:58:55 +0000 UTCThe longer levels are great. I think I've had to check the walkthrough at least once for all of them, but I don't mind that. One thing that would be nice would be a map that would allow us to jump immediately to any room/area once it has been visited. Sometimes it feels a bit too much of a grind having to go back and forth through several rooms to say set a dial then go back and click something. But that's a very minor thing.

2019-04-17 03:18:21 +0000 UTCAll good man, just keep doing what you're doing. I wouldn't mind even more complicated puzzles but the difficulty level seems right on par with the whole atmosphere
Nick Selivonik
2019-04-17 01:32:07 +0000 UTCI would love to see a different animal on a long version instead of the little monkeys, maybe a kitten or a chicken or duck, just for a change up. And I agree with one of the other commentors, a gap between the 2 short versions would be nice.
Marjorie Baker
2019-04-17 00:56:35 +0000 UTCLove all , especially the longer levels. It would be good to get one of the short levels earlier in the week as at the moment all the fun seems to bunched up towards the end. It's almost too long to wait!!

2019-04-16 23:56:54 +0000 UTCI absolutely love the last two games, but have to admit that the walkthrough was needed, if only to get me past a certain point. And thank you : )

2019-04-16 23:17:38 +0000 UTCLove the longer stages! And love the creativity!

2019-04-16 23:14:02 +0000 UTCI am enjoying the longer levels. One thing that occurred to me is to make a screenshot of the complex codes appear in your bag after you click on the graphic in the game. That way you can refer to it as you roam around the level. Currently I will use Snipping Tool to take a picture or write something down, but referring to it in game might be fun.
