Famoustech

I love this Stevie I’m a huge hip hop head and Pun one of my FAVORITES 🔥🔥 he had cadence, bars and he was syllable rhyming before slot of these other artist but he never gets mentioned pisses me off 😂

TipToe

Big Pun was my guy growing up. Fire verse structures, fire cadence fire flow.

Jean

Facts!

I don’t think he is mentioned bc if you grew up in the 80’s and 90’s and 00’s listening to rap you know pun isn’t in the top 20 rappers. He has good cuts most with other rappers on them but his style gets a little tired and then all the sudden you went ten years without playing pun and still know all the words. While his flow was nice and rhymed a lot of words he doesn’t really have bars like that. My opinion anyway why I don’t think he’s mentioned. He was everyone’s favorite rapper but wasn’t really anyone’s favorite. If you was riding with some people you don’t know throw on big pun to see where they at lol

Big Pun is in Snow’s top five, at least. But you’re right, he isn’t appreciated enough.

Reina

Pun was SO 🔥🔥🔥... that whole album is dope. https://youtu.be/bsdXSFSyA6M

STARK

Biterphobia had crazy rhymes too so you could say yes in that aspect. Did he have the flow / swag and content Pun had ? No. Big Pun was a beast but I'm don't think he influenced a lot of rappers at that time tbh.

kikoolol

I mean his next project was pretty disappointing (from what we got) so I think it plays a part. People on lists usually have multiple great projects to confirm their skills. I'm sure the second album was as good as Capital Punishment no one would forget him.

kikoolol

thanks!!!! DREAM SHATTERER next!

Miguel Z.

Yo you gotta do this whole album Stevie! It’s flames from start to end.

Steve

Dream Shatterer is one of those tracks that separates itself for GOAT talk.

Stephen Carmack

That’s exactly it. There isn’t enough content for people to include him, but he def deserves to be in that convo. Either way, I’m happy to see you diving into his catalog. A little surprised that you hadn’t heard some of this stuff before, but better late than never. Pun was fire.

JT

Anybody here hear Baljeet the Great- "alive and lookin"?....it came up as a song I might like after my Playlist ended..Wow,,sounds just like Joyner..the chorus is alil wack in the middle but oh my,,bars, flow, beat,,check it out

Eric Bagetis

Yelawolf /caskey ft cook up boss!! Song is called cookies let’s get that one going! But gotta do the music video to it as well!

GS Performance

Do dream shatterer next!!!!!

Mike

Was Em rappin like that in 88 or 95

Gregory Knight

What they said ^

Aaron Finch

Yeah there is isn’t there I mean fast money and boomerang I think are also his best tracks

Jacob

For many, unfortunately I think the issue is him passing so early didn't give him a chance to release enough content to be in that conversation. Should he be? Probably, but it's hard to bump someone off the list who has been doing it for as long as those who are already on that list have been doing it. It's sad too because he was so fire, one of my faves growing up for sure.

Ray Holguin

Tech N9ne started 4 years before Pun. Maybe more. And technically Eminem started his career in 1988. Big Pun stepped on the scene in 1995.

Jimmy McMinn

Btw, I was torn between Beware and Tres Leches tracks when I was choosing a Pun's song for reaction :) Pun has so many great tracks, hope we will hear many of it with Stevie

Ivan Kushchev

Sheesh 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Gregory Knight
