Ransom started as part of a group called the A-Team with another rapper named Hitchcock. This was around 2001. A-Team was in the same clique with Joe Budden, Fabolous, Paul Cain, they were under DJ Clue and called "Desert Storm". Him and Hitchcock broke up, and Ransom went solo around 06-07. Him and Joe Budden got into a beef over a misunderstanding, they had a really dope back and forth (Most people have Joe winning, but even though he was good then, Ransom wasn't as fire then as he is now). Ransom kinda was quiet for some years (he went to prison for a little bit) but had a resurgence lately and been killing everything.

I think this is the chronological order of the diss tracks when they dropped: 1) Ransom-Kid Brother 2) Budden-Heart of the City 3) Ransom-Die Tonight 4) Budden-Ransom Note For the record, Ransom’s Die Tonight might be the greatest unknown diss track of all time. Absolutely brutal.
