You never really hear the true message when you’re just vibing to the track that’s playing, especially on the radio. Linkin Park’s music is a great example of this. Not until long after the vocalist passed did I finally notice that every single one of their songs was him telling us how he was handling the world. Nobody listened to the messages, we just wanted to rock out, and we did. Now looking back, those lyrics are fuckin tragic.
