And it’s easy to see his love and passion for hip hop in this video. Also, you asked how many throwaways does he probably have that we’ve never heard? He’s talked before about how he’s written nearly everyday for over 20 years. So at this point, he’s probably got vaults and vaults of material we’ve never seen or heard. And probably never will. As well as recordings we’ve never heard. Can’t help but wonder what gems are buried in all of that.

MJ invested in significant shares of Sony but there were legal wranglings that delayed the full terms of the deal being fulfilled to the point that fighting for it pretty much borderline bankrupted MJ's estate. After his death, the shares had to be let go. In addition.....it's not actually EVER been strictly true to say he "owned" Eminem's music because the ownership % splits of the music of his 1st 3 albums have always been ridiculously complicated. No one owns any one song outright because it was spit up into percentage parts. Interscope and Em himself own some, but for the 1st 3 albums the Bass brothers owned huge chunks (their publishing house was under Sony, which is where the connection comes from btw) but the Bass brothers decided to auction off SPLIT UP PARTS of the masters. In conclusion....it's almost impossible for any one specific person to own Em's catalogue. That shit's too messy to even pull together.

I seen it in a documentary then I Googled it and it told me all about it it was part of a 367 million dollar deal that he partnered with Sony music. I'm not sure who owns it now the course he's gone maybe his children but he also owns the rights to the Beatles!

For me personally one of the interesting ones where the interview with Rakim and how he approaches writing his music. But I'm always interested to find out how people approaches their art. But back when I watched the whole document I really hoped you would check it out too since I knew you would find it interesting since you are always pondering how Em's brain works lol.

They really studied the most minor of details, the rapper or hooper the casual people wouldn’t know.. they know everything about them. It’s beauty in the obsession and that’s why when it comes to pure skill they could do anything. Literally neither gave a damn about anything except their craft and heir kids.. they’re the ultimate super fans of their games

2021-04-08 16:19:33 +0000 UTCA LOT of people either don't know, or forgot over the years, that Em really "sunk his teeth" in touring as an opening act for Ice-T. Especially during Ice-T's "Body Count" tours, that were more "heavy metal" than "rap" audiences. Talk about putting on a show that DEFIED conventions at the time. White artist rapping, and Black artist doing Heavy Metal.
