2021-04-15 06:42:34 +0000 UTCLogic will rarely wow you with bars. He sticks to his message/philosophy tough, which reasonably leads to many people labeling him as corny, repetitive, or predictable. His music requires wanting to relate to him rather than requires him impressing you, which falls into a far different lane. On that note, the KEY to loving this song lies in realizing that he tells the same story of his childhood environment twice: verse one from his perspective, and verse two from his brother's perspective. I think he portrays a concept as an album better than anyone other than Kendrick in my opinion. In fact, because of that, I think the most advantageous inclusion of his music in your platform would consist of you spending an hour on live reacting (not really breaking down) to Everybody, No Pressure, Under Pressure, or even The Incredible True Story.

Logic won’t blow you away with his pen. Let’s get that out there. Lower that expectation. What he does well, is paint a vivid picture of what he’s trying to tell you. Then his cadence marries the beat effortlessly to make it an easy listen no matter the subject. Palatable double time rapper.
