Acknowledge he's talented giving me a big BUT... He's too country for them. So idk what they've heard but by their response it's not much and they damn sure don't even know about his most recent albums or mixtapes or even care to try giving them a chance.

2021-10-22 01:23:20 +0000 UTCHe often references his previous songs in his new music..if you aren’t an OG fan and familiar with his catalog you may not understand his lyrics at times..it may not make sense...for example if you didn’t know what/who Catfish Billy was/is you could be confused ....I’ve read comments on some sights hating calling him racist...another sight yelling he’s a (pardon this description) N word lover.....not sure how he could ever possibly win when your being hit from both sides LOL...he can’t be both!🤷♂️....rightfully there are plenty sights praising and respecting his work even if they don’t like every style they find a few he does they love!✌️😁

But half the time he also just says random shit but does it over a hard beat, makes it sound good, and people that exclusively focus on lyrics get lost. In my opinion

As a matter of fact he's on another song with Royce and crooked apologizing to his fans for that record saying that he was just trying to please people after that he never tried to get back on the radio. That was the goal at the time, make songs that they'll put on the radio.
