It’s powerful to open up and speak on issues, especially the ugly truth that is racism. I’ve never understood why people have to be ugly to each other regardless of anything. Whatever it may be no reason. My first fight as a young kid was with 2 white kids just like myself that were messing with my best friend who was black. I stood up for him because he was my best friend and went after both of them. I didn’t know why they were messing with him until my friend told me what they were saying. I hadn’t encountered racism until then. It literally made me want to go after them everyday for the rest of there lives for that. It made me feel some kind of way because of how they made my friend feel. And no one should ever have to feel that way and I mean fucking ever!! Had to rant because the hatred for that ugliness has stuck with me for the last 30 years.

I'm not really commenting on the "N" word although I probably could for days. My family looks like an old Benetton commercial, some darker, and others are very fair like my grandmother, who for reasons of her own, chose to "pass" in order to flee German-occupied Europe during WWII. The word was never allowed in our home, in our family. Myself being also half Sicilian, usually get pegged as Hispanic, especially if I straighten my hair. But growing up in Detriot when I was little, then SoCal until High School. I was never excepted by my cohorts. I was called every horrible thing light-skinned/mixed kids get called. So to the reason for my comment-division. I 100% agree with you, I talk to people every day on my channel, and about half of my subs are from Europe. They understand racism but what they don't understand is the deep-seated racism that divides this country. If we want change, and so desperately need change, it needs to be a two-way street. Yes, there needs to be a MAJOR change in policy, in government, in policing, in social programs.....but also, look into our own community and see what we can do to enact change as well. Stop the division in our own community, help to stop the division in this country. And that's not laying down "to the man", that's standing up, for you, your family, your community. Real talk. Nothing but respect for you bro, thank you.

And for me at least, it is a tough time to not be in your head these days, and appreciate how you put yourself out there with and for us all. I would also like to throw this out there - i could use a little "just for fun" content to lighten up the heavy once in a while.
