Agree, thats Y the hate towards Revival hurt him bad n he could not let go. He put alot of work, emotion and dedication into Revival. Not a top Em album imo, but it def didn’t deserve the hate. Em still made masterpieces on this album just like he does with every album. All his albums are different n I love that.

Idk it feels a bit forced or maybe not as natural as others like going through changes or mockingbird. The reviews on Revival were way too hard, it's not a bad album but for em it just doesn't hold up compared to his others albums. It feels like he kinda lost himself, the production was bad, the lyrics a bit cringy at times even tho his writing abilities still amazing. Em always talked about himself or important stuff going on in the word in his songs but on revival it didn't hit the same and was kinda boring (The Eminem show for exemple is him being serious and not saying some crazy shit and for me one of the best hip hop albums)

A hilarious, wise wizard with a pen and his own struggles. Revival was him showing what he meant when he said in Fall: "Don't tell me 'bout the culture, I inspire the Hopsins, the Logics, the Coles The Seans, the K-Dots, the 5'9"s..." Not to mention the NFs, the Joyners, the Marlon Crafts, Tom McDonalds, etc. These are all smart people with legitimate insights, we just weren't ready for Em to do it his way. A lot of us are now though.

And about the production..I just think a lot of ppl aren't used to hearing songs that don't sound like everything else out. I also never write-off a song just bc I wasn't fucking with the sound the first time I heard it. Like..sometimes, especially if the sound is different than what ur used to, u gotta hear it multiple times before it grows on u. Ppl r just so flooded with content now so they don't give shit a second chance
