A tweet that was getting a lot of attention from big accounts and even verified ppl he follows asking "If we erased Eminem, and his entire discography from Hip-Hop, would it matter?" The amount of ppl that believe Em hasn't contributed or impacted rap at all is Insane. Or maybe it's just the amount of Haters jumping on the narrative so they can continue to shred Em's legecy. Regardless, the question comes from Royce publicly saying he'd take Doggystyle over anything Em's made. That lead everyone to wonder if matters at all. You say we're being too sensitive, but I think ya'll are being too naive or just out of touch with the massive amount of BS that keeps coming at Em.

He didn't say hip hop doesn't need any of Em' albums he just said he couldn't live without snoop' album and he'd choose that over em's music but thats his choice, that's probably one of his favorite albums and he grew up on that so there's nothing wrong with that! Thats not saying Snoop better than Em. Wish people would stop being so defensive and trash Royce, ofc he got love for em and he always defends him or give him his props. For sure Royce could have just said what he said without the last phrase but I m sure he got pissed at people trashing Snoop. And plus, people say Royce always defends em and can't be objective so I m sure he commented on it to prove a point

Then volunteered that he'd take Doggystyle over anything Em's ever made, for no reason. Royce knows Em's status as a Top 5 MC has been under attack because apparently the urban rap community doesn't fw Em's music, so one of Marshall's best friends and his rap partner saying this will be used against Em for a long time. No one cares what Royce like best, it's what Em's haters will do with that info. 1/2 of Hip Hop Twitter suddenly agreed with Royce 🙄

Snoop just voluntarily started going in about Em not being Top 10 to him, and ppl only ever consider him Top 10 cuz he's with Dre. He also said Dre made him good enough to blow when Em already had SSEP, Dre only produced 3 songs on SSLP, and 13 total from SSLP-TES. We wouldn't know who Eminem is without Dre, but that's way more about signing and stamping Em, cuz his talent and artistry were well developed. It was offensive. And Snoop Never talks about Em without mentioning his color.

Personally I think they would squash all this behind the scenes with some conversations to each other directly. Snoop continues to argue though because he too thinks about the top 10 when its more about how he put race in it so quickly. If I may say, I feel as if Snoop's list was more about him being able to relate to the music. I dont expect him to like EM's music, but he basically wrote off EM's career and writing ability based on emotional connection. You can have your opinion of course and I'll have mine, just wanted to make sure you know that it's not about him leaving EM off his top 10 list, its about the way he put it out there like he did.
