SSLP REVIEW - BONNIE & CLYDE

Comments

That’s what I think Stan was. Stan was the song he wrote to any fan that actually was what society was afraid of. Like this is entertainment people don’t actually do this lol

Patrick Taylor

He is picasso..but a lyrical one 🐐

MimiLoveee♡

Ems storytelling is UNMATCHED ‼‼‼

MimiLoveee♡

But yuppp Part 2 in the Kim trilogy...Bad Husband is part 3 ..n the perfect wrap up for the Kim trilogy n so derp I litetally tear up at the end yo..such growth n truth from him 😭💯💯

MimiLoveee♡

Fun fact lol Em lied to Kim & told her he was taking Hay Hay to Chuck E Cheese to play & really took her to the studio to record her parts on this lmaooo 😈💯🤣

MimiLoveee♡

usually i agree with you on the beats, but imo this beat was FIRE

David Aiello

this a play on will smiths song with his son, and its FIRE because its so twisted compared to the original just the two of us lmao.

Kaya Zelonko

*bops head over and over* PAUSE "I dont like the beat'' Cmon son!

isaac

Not just ya, us inner city black folks were living this shit too... The creativity and story telling couldn’t be ignored

Daniel Burton

Dawn Wildman

Now that I'm older they don't connect the same but super nostalgic

Jarrad

And when you were a 16 year old white boy with a baby...and a fucked up relationship with your babymama...these songs just hit a little different lol

Jarrad

Eminem Ft Dr Dre Say What You Say

VeteranReacts

To be fair...that song is 100% pure trolling from a person too off his nut on drugs to know where he was. And the troll game is legendary levels, honestly.... I mean, he marketed his greatest hits compilation CD as having a "bonus" new song for fans.....and THAT was it! Fack was TRACK ONE man. The first actual song you heard of the whole album. It was TRACK ONE 😭😭🤣💀

scamrasc

Oof. You think you're ready? 😂 The thing with Kim is, it's 100% pure raw anger/pain. Too many people think it's literal, but it's not really about the shock, it's about the feelings behind it all. He wasn't aiming for shock in that one....he just exploded his feelings all out in one song! ...He described it as "Have you never been so angry and hurt by someone you wished they would die, even for a second?".....Well, he put that wish into song form.......buuttt his pen just so happens to be a BIT more visceral than your average Joe's lol....

scamrasc

You're getting it Stevie! It's about the creativity and how he translated his emotions into visuals with words. I don't listen to SSLP but I appreciate the construction behind it. Eminem has often said he uses rap as therapy.....that's a huge part of what SSLP is. It's dark, crazy and psychotic because that was a period of his life where everything was rock bottom dog shit, and creating Slim helped him process it in a healthier way than physically releasing it. Most of these songs are actually lifted from before Dre signed him, so he would have been early 20s (Dre signed him at 25). Slim is a caricature twisted with anger and dark psychotic humour. Marshall Mathers is more of a straightforward emotional transparency, letting you see the real human being. Eminem is the rapper's rapper, colder but unmatched technical proficiency. Later on...they kind of merge together a bit more as he gets older.

scamrasc

If he does Kim he has to do Bad Husband

Devan Hammond

oh fuck 😂😂 Just coz I can already hear you say, Kim is jut for shock value hahah no that s not the point, he's not saying this shit just to shock but he's letting all his anger go on a song

Lilo

And yo...I swear at least once a day I just wanna blast wife right in her shit .. I don't know I mean... She's like...really really good at getting under my skin and I have let her know that like..BITCH I'll fucking kill u! Every once and a while

sarcasm_is my_1st_language

You ain't ready brah

Rama Djuhana

Guess I gotta do kim then 🤷🏾‍♂️😂

Gregory Knight

He liked this one. Kim just doubles down on the whole creative crazy shit. Uncensored since he is no longer singing to his daughter

Nicolás Montiel

Kim is just another level... it’s a horror movie converted to a song😂

Marc Vidiella

I seriously cannot wait for you to listen to "Kim". A prequel to this song that Em made with extra love for everyone blaming him and Marilyn Manson for school shootings. You might think you are ready for Kim, but no one truly is. I want to know what you think it must have done to the Hip Hop world

Nicolás Montiel

2pac song was called "96 Bonnie & Clyde" which was also very creative because he wasn't talking about an accrual girlfriend. It was about him & his gun..so dope. Entire song is a metaphor. Em did 97' BONNIE & Clyde the year after which was on his Slim Shady EP b4 he met Dre.. & Jay-z & Beyonce did 03 Bonnie & Clyde much years later

Diverse Project

he gonna hate kim lol

Kurt Nighfind

facts lmao

Davey Locker

he aint ready for that lol its most insane song

Davey Locker

I thought exact same....... wait til he hears Kim!! 😆 great track though! One that you turn off if it pops up on the shuffle in front of other people! but still a great track! 👌🏻

darren hogg

Stevie, you gotta do "Kim"....because it relates to this song.....but at the same time I don't think your ready for that yet ROFL.

Ray Holguin

there's a prequel to that song, it's called Kim but I dont think you ready to hear that or I m not ready for you to listen to it 😂😂 Dont know if you would make it trough the song (if you can call it a song)😶..... Yeah I think everyone's curious over what his daughter think about this song and kim but they private, she never did an interview I think

Lilo

That "me and my girlfriend" was from JayZs 02 Bonnie and Clyde, unless Pac did it first idk, I never got into him really.

dennis pugh

Next months Marshall Mathers LP will keep all the new tier 3s 👌🏻 your the GOAT of the reaction game Stevie! Keep it up! All the way from Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😄

darren hogg

I actually enjoyed this one though because of the creativity it took. As a song eh...but dope ass writing

Gregory Knight

He already did The Bad Meets Evil: The Sequel album, im talking about the track called Bad Meets Evil in the SSLP album.

Rama Djuhana

(The album)

Carl Fairbank

Yes! Stevie you gotta add bad meets evil to the em journey

Carl Fairbank

It's so amazing how self aware you are stevie, you came along way! As much as i know this album aint for you, i respect you for going through it and getting your Em knowledge up! :) Waiting for that bad meets evil track on this album though!

Rama Djuhana

(Don’t review Fack — it’s a ridiculous song).... just making a point of Ems growth as that song is insane

Carl Fairbank

Listen to Fack if you want to really hear the most f’d up song and really see how much em has grown. I, like you, like the later albums better but I loved this as a kid. As I told u boss, the original slim shady that everyone looks back on is not the “lyrical miracle” he is today.
