2024-06-02 12:53:49 +0000 UTCThere's this concept called Cerebus Syndrome where a series will shift to a more serious and/or story-driven tone as it goes along. Adventure Time is basically the poster child for it and Bravest Warriors absolutely has it as well. Now that I think of it, a lot of the more popular animated series in the past decade or so have heavily leaned into Cerebus Syndrome.
