So I agree that some things there are no way he would know, but I do think heโs a contributor and also heโs giving insight to some things that I would have never known and Iโm not going to spend the time reading genuis. I called him out one time on a live stream and challenged him to do a live breakdown letting someone throw a song at him from the live chat and he never responded but he'll be like "ahh yeah... That bar mentioned the Huns. Well back in 1653 the Huns blah blah blah blah" but does it on the most random stuff too. I can understand some people can be history buffs or whatever, but there's no way he's not researching the hell out of stuff he reacts to whether he says he's heard it before or not.

I wanted to talk to Mateo (no offense, Greg, I respect you) I remember thinking not so long ago, like within the past year or so, that Stevie wouldn't react to artists outside of his comfort zone. When he reacted to Daechwita my jaw hung open for three minutes before I even pressed play! Now...after the BTS, Blackpink, Seen, Metallica, Demi Lovato, EZ Mil, Lynryd Skynyrd, etc... I am embarrassed and almost ashamed that I assumed that Stevie wouldn't be open to listening to different genres &/or stepping out of his comfort zone. I need to binge watch this Knox feller a bit more (I stayed up pretty late last night/this morning) and he seemed really on point with his break downs even before the meanings of songs got to the point. I suppose that if my fan base likes certain music than I would only react to that music for awhile - I'd want to build up a loyal fan base (like how Stevie and NLS started with UK rap...NLS blew up with the Kamikaze album. Stevie did with the NF, I believe). Once Stevie opened his channel up to music that no one would have dreamed react to: BTS, Blackpink, Metallica, Demi Lovato, Pink Floyd, etc - he started blowing up big time. Not all of us as hip hop heads. I describe myself as a hop head๐คช. I'm trying to learn hip hop, but it is so refreshing to listen to music that I am actually familiar with and can sing along to. Mayhap Knox can bring out that side of Stevie that every once in awhile we need to to see - the silly side. And mayhap Stevie will educate Knox (forgive me if I am disrespecting him, I'm sure that he knows A LOT since he is a rapper) on the super deep bar breakdown. Kinda like a YinYang thing, you know? The best of both worlds! Thanks for staying with me through this novel...I hope I made some sense.

Because some of the stuff he has caught with Em example are things that I don't think anyone would pick up with listening the song without lyrics front of them and some won't pick them even then. I till watch his videos with certain artists because I'm after the information he shares and to be honest I wouldn't care if he would be honest with what he does. But since I have a feeling that he is not that I don't sub him anymore. Sometimes he makes me feel like he is trying too hard to be something. He sounded a lot more relaxed in the clip Stevie had on the yt video from this podcast.

I'm sure he's heard at least 50% of Eminem's content because that's one of his biggest inspirations. But at the end of the day, the guy catches Bars and all the technicalities of rap that no one else can because he actually Rap Rap and a lot of reactors don't even care to put the effort into explaining stuff, they're worried about their reaction being too long.. But anyways, we're here to learn and catch shit that we cant, which is what Knox and Stevie provides. So many reactors only bop their heads to a lyrical song or catch like 2 bars the entire song and think they're actually doing something.

But honestly without being biased cuz I understand that many ppl in here also follow Knox. But the thing is. Iโm not knocking this move by Steve. Itโs gonna help his algorithms n his success. Steve is the only YouTuber that Iโve actually subscribed to or have gone as far to join their patreon. The reason Iโm here is because Steve is the most authentic reactor. Genuine dude. Knox on the other hand ๐ which idk if he does it still cuz once I caught him doing it n saw ppl in his comment section calling him out for it I stopped watching him. But he reads n studies rap genius lyrics before reacting to it n then literally quotes them word for word as his own words. Some ppl donโt mind reactors reading the genius lyrics while watching the videos. Me, Iโm not for it. Iโm sure Steve has no idea about that but I think Knox recognizes Steveโs authenticity n wants some of that ๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ Just my opinion. But hopefully Knox is not taking the funk no more.
