2021-05-26 21:15:14 +0000 UTCThough most anyone can identify with unforgiven...and it’s message...Stevie without knowing the history damn near got it all...first part of the story was his family drove him to being who he is second part as the old man he was addressing the fans...as Metallica grew into the black album and tried to evolve with the changing music their fans started to say they sold out hence the trying to please everyone and the you label me I label you lines...and why even though by the black album Metallica was a household name he still didn’t feel like he shined no matter what he did...I’m just glad they never fell into that trap the way Linkin Park’s members did costing us two brilliant artists bc of depression...not to mention nearly losing Em, Demi and actually losing so many others to depression and fame

The acoustic live version is imo the best version Corey taylor-snuff is how that version is listed on YouTube). Both bands actually have the same singer Corey Taylor. He's got a crazy arsenal of vocals skills. Pantera's walk, cemetery gates and suicide song pt1 and 2 are also some good ones.

Much, much later in life, I've since learned that the road to happiness is some combination of gratitude and forgiveness. Would feel like a downer to rock this today.

As another commenter here already mentioned, Metallica fans will eventually steer you towards ONE. It's Master of Puppets on steroids. Not from their best-sounding album (IMO), but the lyrics are heavy AF.
