Post Malone is in his own lane, he's multi-talented and brings a combination of grunge, rock, country and rap as he said, they all inspired him. It's the industry that labelled him Rap and then Rappers attacked. He is just an artist he'd say. He's got the numbers cuz the young generation relate to him (white kids) and they think he is 'dope'. Kinda like how Em brought in his fans. My nieces are all about Post so I got some exposure to the guy and he grew on me, he connects more to his fans then Drake, youth don't relate to Drake's music, Post is relatable

HH has been in a great place the last 10 yrs, old heads & ppl with old head mentality who think only bars matter, are the only ones who think otherwise because they're ignorant af to music. Trap is amazing, so is lyrical rap, as long as it's done well at least, artists like ,Joyner & tom & NF aren't good examples of lyricism, artists like Push, Danny, Earl, Kdot, ab Soul, etc, they're examples of good lyricism & good lyricists. Just because a rapper has "bars" don't make them good, the YT rap community loves overrating rappers just because they got "bars", don't even matter if they're good or bad bars most of the time

However I do believe Hip Hop is in a much better place than it was just 2 years ago and the reaction channels played a big role in that. There’s plenty of lyrical talent out there, thank you for bringing them to the forefront!!

Regardless of he's had the commercial success that some people have had like Eminem j Cole or Kendrick Tech n9ne definitely deserves a spot in these conversations.
