1st, LOVE your reaction! I love this movie, have seen it like 20 times (15 or so have been watching reactors), and I just cannot get enough, cannot wait until part 2! Galinda gets no credit for the sole good thing she did at the Ozdust ballroom cleaning up her own cruel prank on Elphaba, which was not done out of the kindness of her heart but because she felt like she owed her after Elphaba got her into the sorcery seminar, which was her life's dream. The only reason the 2 became "friends," which is honestly the Galinda/Glinda's ONLY semi redeeming quality, is completely because of Elphaba's kind act! Then, in the Emerald City, after the Wizard and Madame Morrible publicly insulted and vilified Elphaba, Glinda gaslights her "best friend" and abandons her to join the fascists who they just learned are responsible for the oppression of the Animals. The book series Wicked was basically a fanfiction to the Wizzard of Oz movie.
