EMINEM - MEDICINE BALL - RELAPSE ALBUM REVIEW

Comments

It’s my favorite Eminem album. It’s a masterpiece of horror storytelling.

Rebecca Hopkins

That’s exactly why I love it so much. The horrorcore storytelling in this album is insane off the charts brilliant.

This is my favorite track off my favorite Eminem album, the horrorcore storytelling confessions of a serial killer masterpiece album that is Relapse. And no, it’s not just my favorite track because it’s so viscous and wickedly snarky like the best Eminem tracks usually are, w/ insanely constructed rhyme patterns, cadence impeccable, beat is knocking, etc; but yes, it IS because it has my name in the opening line 😂. I remember when I bought this album back when it was brand new, and heard it for the first time. It got to this track, and he began with welcoming Rebecca to the Slim Shady Mecca, and I yelled and about fell off my bed like he just spoke directly to me out of the record or something 😂 acting crazy stupid 😝

I think we tend to all put our 1st Em album we got into as our top album. Mine was TES. To me, nothing tops that album but Relapse on the other hand grew on me and has moved its way up my list! I'm assuming it happens because the 1st album always comes across as so unique, different and amazing in sound 🔥

Sometimes I wonder really what did my closed head injury do / I'm literally missin' a screw, but it seems like my memory's too vivid to forget the shit I've been through (Yeah) So as my residuals grew, I remembered those kids who were cruel Same individuals as Elizabeth Little and essentially used them as the fuel / Who would've knew what the pencil could do, though, so mentally screwed They said, "Marshall, you're either gonna wind up dead or in the penitentiary 'Cause eventually you'll end up clenchin' a tool And come back vengefully to shoot them bullies who clowned you in elementary school" Yeah, my head, something's wrong with it But that makes me me, I'm different (Yup) That lyrical phenom misfit / Since I was a bleach blonde, you hear the beat on this killers we brought with us Juggernauts and Godzillas, you don't rock with us, you off of your rockers / Bitch, back's to the wall as it always is So I'm not talkin' about wallets and knots / When I say that the wall it is not against / It's more like the cross, look at how far this is past you / Regardless, you want me to reach a fuckin' bar that does not exist / No pun intended, but GRIP, hold on to this moment / 'Cause soon as you reach the top, they're gonna want you to fall from it / So you better grab your seatbelt like I did mine, and fasten yours"

Great reaction and I think Em answered your question in his new verse as he reflected back on the time he was put in a coma due to a concussion by getting his head bashed in. This whole scheme he's saying that's what's wrong with his head....

one of my least favorite eminem albums tbh... has decent songs but a lot of shock value rap.. few dope records with crazy writing though

Andrew Pisano

As a horror fanatic this albums like watching a movie.

No we didn't get Relapse 2 Em never relisted it, instead he made deluxe version Relapse Refill which have extra tracks added to original album

Relapse goes hard 🔥🔥 Anyone no the difference between relapse and refill thou? I can't see none, swear there was a relapse two thou that had like 7 bonus tracks

Steve Green

Em is just different yo....I swear all the songs most people hate him for are my favorites lol

Justin Watson

Stevie bopping so hard he ain’t even noticing that lyric video is horrendous 😂

Tom Zoeter

Who’d ever thought Stevie would be bopping to Eminem talking about bisexually wrecking someone 😂😂

Tom Zoeter

The slim shady lp was my first Eminem album. Man it just hit different back then. I loved hip hop and rap back but Eminem stood out and it was something about the aura and mood of Eminem he changed the game. It’s sad that the industry changed on him.

Relapse was my frist Em album i heard entirely and i remember thinking this sound amazing who is this? I heard about Em before but this sounded so different. I was just teen and i didn't spoke English very well so my older sister translated to me some lyrics and i was so shocked 😂 but then again i am horror/thiller/crime movies/books fan so it was all good i guess😂. Till this day my favorite album I know it's not his best but definnitely have special place in my heart.

MMLP TES SSLP Recovery MTBMB A/B MMLP2 Kamikaze Relapse Encore Revival. All good albums, the first two switch around often likewise the 7th and 8th. At the moment I think he’s got 4 proper classic albums.

Kev Harris

relapse is a cult classic

Ricky Martinez
