The guy that plays the head game maker, to me, was the perfect choice because he was able to keep you confused as to whose side he was on. Also idk if this was said but in the book Peeta lost his leg from his first games so he has a prosthetic. I think it was metal cause in the book when he is in the water he can’t swim and when he gets electrocuted it is much worse.

In the books it’s better explained that the area was already predominantly black before the districts were made, and you don’t travel between districts so there’s not a lot of black people in the others.

Mags kissed not in a romantic way but in a goodbye way because she cant speak.

2025-03-15 17:54:36 +0000 UTCThe thing with the different races in the districts is that those communities already had a sort of racial bias when it came to their demographic make up, similar to how in real life there'll be parts of cities that house a larger proportion of a specific race/culture. It seems like the districts are also a lot more enclosed, especially the lower class ones like 12 and 11, so it makes sense for that community to continue reproducing internally and thus continue to have children of those same races and cultures.

2025-03-14 15:29:35 +0000 UTCI mean, if you pay attention to the scenes on the train in the 1st movie you can literally see remnants of Haymitch's PTSD, at least when he isnt drowning himself in alcohol! No, they were never dating! In fact, in the books, where we are inside Katniss' head, she never had those kind of romantic feelings for Gale, it is completely platonic, though we can sense that Gale likely has always had romantic feelings for Katniss. Katniss doesnt even start to entertain the idea of any kind of romantic involvement with Gale until after he starts guilting and emotionally manipulating her in Catching Fire, which is crappy, but I dont hate it at first considering she is doing the same thing to Peeta, who she actually does have a stronger semi romantic notion towards. I find it frustrating how people are more critical of Peeta feeling upset because his feelings are being toyed with, yet no one craps on Gale feeling jealous for a girl he was never with and never even tried to spill his feelings to or make a move on until after she was trauma bonded and publicly tied to after her near death experience that left her with severe PTSD, which Gale does not try to help her with, he only keeps trying to guilt her into feeling the same way he does, while Peeta does his best to not make Katniss feel guilty and is trying to help her through her trauma while still dealing with his own!

For the 50th anniversary the special condition was that 2 boys and 2 girls would get reaped instead of 1 the reminder being that a rebel would cause twice the death for every citizen of the Capitol The books also talk about how Katniss believes the 75th rule was altered to kill her, and thats probably the truth

They usually have a special game every quarter but President Snow decided to change things up and to get rid of Katniss they chose to do this. Usually, the Victors are immune from being called back into the games

And the prequel will show you why snow hates Katniss so much, more than her just being a pain in his ass. Can’t wait to see you get through these. Also the time period is around 2300’s I think I may be off by some year but those numbers look right lol. Also you missed when snow drunk the wine blood came out his mouth “aka” the man is getting ready to pass on which is pretty important to know going into the third one.

Where it was twice the amount of tributes each district, so instead of 24 it was 48! And so it will show a younger him winning! And how he did it! I’m very excited!!
