I didn't say everything was comedic/horror, but the shock value stuff Steve is talking about is just that. Listen to the part he's referencing "Yo, I'll fuckin', I'll... I'll puke, eat it, and freak you
Battle? I'm too weeded to speak to, The only key that I see to defeat you
Would be for me to remove these two Adidas and beat you
And force feed you 'em both, and on each feet is a cleat shoe
I'll lift you off your feet so fast with a roundhouse
You'll think I pulled the fucking ground out from underneath you
(Bitch!) I ain't no fucking G, I'm a cannibal
I ain't tryin' to shoot you, I'm tryin' to chop you into pieces and eat you" that's literally shock value rapping.

Nah you’re trippin. Eminem talked about reality back then it’s just way darker. You’re argument is a contradiction.

What Griselda does is reality rap. Regardless if they, themselves, are killing people, it doesn't matter. People get shot, people sell drugs, etc...that's a reflection of street life in he real world. What Eminem did during this era is shock value because it's outlandish shit, it wasn't based in reality, it was over the top horror/comedic content for the sake of creativity. There's nothing wrong with that, but trying to act like what Eminem did back then and what Griselda does now is one in the same is intellectually dishonest.

Bro' sometimes I wonder how you think. Are Griselda just shock value ? Sometimes it feels like to you killing someone in a "gangsta" way is "normal" content but if it's suddenly done with machetes or some shit it's just shock value.

It’s definitely not Masta Ace’s best verse by any means, but that dude is a legend. Disposable Arts and A Long Hot Summer are certified underground classics.
Also Masta Ace’s Acknowledge is one of the best diss tracks. Beat, flow, and lyrics all fire. Although if you don’t know the backstory and shit like that it’s not gonna hit as hard cause he’s going at underground rappers.

For some reason, this song reminds me of Bad Guys Always Die from the Wild Wild West soundtrack. I must have always listened to those two songs together around the same time.
