Yes, a perspective from the game, himself, at which he personifies in the Cool. He also does it for the street as well. Which are literal metaphors. I wasn't tryin to play semantics, I was tryin to inform and clarify the difference. Some people don't have a full understanding of the craft. You only perceive it as those 2 things. If I give my youngn an oz. and set him up to make money, I put him on game. It's not triple, its my interpretation. That's semantics. I was concerned about the craft that we're all here for

The game is the one who runs everything and to put you on game is to educate you of who (and what) the game is. Lupe wrote the song from the perspective of “the game” speaking about itself. So the entire song (and song title) is a double entendre.

You will actually enjoy it waaaay more. These aren't suited for first time reactions, the point of it is to keep listening to it throughout the week to slowly understand what he's laying down. You did not get 90% of this song (it's impossible to get first listen), and I think you're missing out if you listen without understanding what he's saying! I know it's considered cheating using genius while reacting but I think we can agree that this is a bit different and make it an exception (even genius is incomplete/wrong sometimes lol)

It definitely makes sense, it's hella fucking difficult to understand but every single line makes sense (and several senses in this case LOL). You're not the only one to prefer Eminem, most peope do! You can actually enjoy listening to Em first listen, you cannot with (most of) Lupe's songs (unless you've been trained breaking down his songs for years). It's definitely a different mood spending weeks breaking down Lupe's songs and vibing with Eminem's more "direct" bars, and I enjoy both.

If you compare the complexity of the bars, mural is far more complex than rap god. If you compare the flow, rap god is way more enjoyable to listen to. But then again rap god wasn't meant to be a "complex masterpiece" and mural's flow is monotone on purpose for the sake of the concept, so I really don't get these comparisons. You can still personnaly prefer one of the two, without saying "it's better" lol

And it seems like he ads words for the sake of the rhyme scheme that doesn't belong or make sense. Em has no filler words and in my opinion makes music that's more relatable and enjoyable. Em has a way of getting his message across and making those complex bars more understandable, Em also has a way of putting more passion and intensity into his words so that u really feel like he's giving u pieces of what's in his soul with his music- Lupe just doesn't do that.

It was a personification of the game that runs all facets of life (drugs, money, politics, system etc) so you can interpret many of ways. Description through the relation of things. (Blood of this city using the utilities in relation to veins/life/power/control and whatever you interpret) He did place a few entendres throughout but not the entire track Entendres usually arent for interpretation, word play set up with some type of punch, connecting 2,3 or 4 specific things. "if niggas is street, well the kid is highway and I'm known to sling bricks like Craig in Friday" basic double Street dope dealin & sling an actual brick Gotta Eat is an entire double. I see a lot of people confuse or group these together so figured I'd give some clarity.

You should do “hurt me soul” I wouldn’t say it’s the most bar heavy song but it’s amazing storytelling and writing. Makes me tear up sometimes.

It’s a song like that will make you see how good lupe is , the concept of the “longchains” alone is ridiculous, you’ll need to look up the meaning of it so you get the full impact, enjoying the Lupe reactions tho. Man doesn’t get nearly enough credit.
