Iโve known so many friends over the course of my life that became addicts or slingers. Lovely people. Loyal people. People I loved. People who are not here on earth any longer, because they chose to stay on that path that sooner or later can only lead to total destruction. Either by OD, getting taken out (three of my friends were murdered), hitting a hot dose, dying prematurely from organ failure complications (one of my friendโs hearts just stopped. He didnโt OD. It justโฆstopped. He was 20), or put in a cell. Either side street you turn down on that path still leads you to a coffin in one form or another. This path doesnโt just reek havoc on them, but on their families, their children, and everyone who loves them. Royceโs Dad chose to get off that path. Because he chose his kids, their lives, and his own over staying on that path of total destruction. Sadly, thatโs the exception, not the rule. Because So many never do. And their kids and their family left behind pay the ultimate price. Because they have to go on living holding those consequences ๐ข
