Question to my tech fam

To all my tech fam, are PCs cheaper now or all they all still tied up in crypto mining? Is it a better time to buy now?

Comments

The sound difference started when stevie moved to the new crib. I dont know if he changed his setup with a new mic or something. In his old videos the sound was good

Egon

@mimilove I bought expensive ones it didn't help 🥴

Shadowlands _1

Ok I have switched Several headphones just wondering if it was me The switch between voice to song audio gets me everytime like turn down turn down! 😅

Shadowlands _1

nah his sound has been bad basically since he moved... i can barely hear him most videos and have to turn it up significantly that is if the song isn't loud af while he's quiet

Mr. Peabody

i have the same prolem with big volume difference between stevies voice and the songs on all my devices

Egon

Sad asfff yo..crazy how ppl turn a tech question into a "its all the president's fault" lmaooo 🤣 cookoo for coco puffs stg 🤡

MimiLoveee♡

Is the question mark because you cant read 🧐

MimiLoveee♡

Will get help yo lol theres doctors for what you got goin on jus sayin lmao.

MimiLoveee♡

I use Bose their amazing 🔥

MimiLoveee♡

Its the earbuds your using..mine you can adjust the sound ,outside nouse ,etc..but it has to do with the brand/quality of the earbuds 💯

MimiLoveee♡

Hey Stevie while we are talking Tech stuff. When I have my earbuds in there is a big difference in the song 🎵 and your voice. I either struggle to hear U or it shocks my ears when the music turns back on. Might just be me. Was wondering if anyone else said something about this

Shadowlands _1

😅

Was looking for this comment. I really want to learn how to build my own. 😭 I have studied everything its just the doing it part I am worried about 😅 I'm going to end up letting my kids do it. They know more anyway.

Shadowlands _1

😅😅😅 who knew you were going to get that response just by sharing you got 2 computers at Best Buy for Cheap. 😅😅 People are weird 😅 I have got to learn not to engage as well. I am taking your advice friend about the bees and shit.

Just built my pc only thing I had A hard time with was the graphic card. But unless you plan on doing heavy gaming you could temporarily go on the lower end of graphic cards. It all is about what your going to use it for. My graphic card alone was 1800. My advice is make a list of parts u want and shop around till you find parts in stock at msrp. Just buy one at a time. It will take a while but the pc parts are not going to get any better because its not just crypto stopping it. Supply of certain chips from companies and you doubled people into computers just by them having to work from home. There is a lot of factors.

Aaron Zebrick

your the reason we ran out of toilet paper when Trump was president.. sheesh

James Hogue

? 😐

BLACK HAZE

Hahaha

Steve

I blame Joe Budden.

Mister eX

People in here really blaming joe Biden for how much PCs are selling for smh. That’s just sad.

Steve

Jaloroch there no point in trying to speak logic to the unlogical lmao its literally a waste of words & energy yo 💯

MimiLoveee♡

Prayers up for the ppl who make everythinggg political lmao..like even if the sun shines or not..yall find a way to put that on who is or isnt in office ... must be miserable so yeah prayers up for real 🙏

MimiLoveee♡

This is a tech question not a political debate yo 🙄

MimiLoveee♡

This is your short answer my guy lol damn 🤣 good to see you here tho been tellin you to tap in glad you did 💯

MimiLoveee♡

I'm going to be real with ya. Short answer; Yes BUT,.. Yes certain hardware is connected to crypto such as your graphic card. Prices may be a lot higher if you buy just one single graphic card. However it seems currently that if you buy a PC which is a pre-build ,you actually seem to get some kind of none-disclaimed discount. Brands such as Nvidia actively try to limit their own graphic cards so that if the card recognizes software which mines crypto valuta for the owner, it basically locks itself. This way the cards should be in less value for crypto miners which directly impacts the price. Why are the prices so high? because crypto miners buy graphic cards in bulk which raises the price.. You see. miners sell their card once the card is burned out. A burned out card is basically "fine" for a gamer. I do not agree with that statement. Sauce: https://cointelegraph.com/news/nvidia-again-limiting-crypto-mining-on-its-rtx-3060-gaming-graphics-card Anyhow. Good time to buy a good graphic card? maybe.. depends where you buy really. 4 years ago a top notch pc would cost you around 1k. Right now 4 years later you will be in a price range of 1500-2000. I mean the latest hardware as in top notch. So without giving you any advice on what hardware you should buy, pick a price range you are comfortable with and start building from there. Start with the CPU, then the motherboard. Make sure the CPU socket is the same as the motherboard socket. Refer to the motherboard manual to check which RAM you can fit and go with your desired disk space. SSD M2 are the fastest drives you could go for right now. CPU cooler should match the CPU Socket and your power supply should have the total of WATT your graphic card is + CPU WATT + 100WATT to be safe, take this with a grain of salt cause i just described this out of the top of my head. Anyways I hope this answers your question.

I got the 3k series card last year..no need to wait..Digital Storm setups have it all..took 2months to build and get it to me but my system is dope..check there ratings..awesome pcs

Eric Bagetis

You do realize that this is a consequence of the world pandemic and it touches all countries. It would have been the same regardless of who is in charge.

Julie L

Basically what everyone here said lol

BlackStarYTC

Pre-assembled PC's are about the same pricewise as they ever were. It's the video cards that are still insanely expensive. You can buy a good prebuilt PC with a good video card in it for about the same price that you can but that good video card by itself. Pre-built is the way to go for sure.

Dustin Sisler

Actually, computer prices don't change that much. Even if it drops, manufacturers will find ways to add "new technology" to push it back up. And vice versa to push prices down. The cost of a computer mostly depends on what you are going to use the PC for (the narrower the better), and whether you can troubleshoot any issues on your own. If you can fix any issues on your own, your setup can be relatively cheaper. But if you have to rely on 'support', then the cost jumps. Because now you need a reliable brand that can provide a decent pc with decent support. To put it up straight, there's no such thing as a good time to buy a computer. That only happens when u win the jackpot. =D Or when your only computer broke down and you need a replacement ASAP.

Norazan Hairoman

I'd start with an APU by AMD and worry about the graphics card later. I'm assuming this curiosity stems from video production and workflow. In that case, starting with AMD's ryzen processors are not a bad option, lots of cores and threads for multitasking

Erik L

Will Pulera, you have no idea what you're talking about. I was going to engage you further, but bees don't waste time explaining to flies why honey is better than shit.

Matthew Shaker

There still high have to give it some time but you can find deals here and there

TAylor

Really depends what you are after man. Gaming the hold up is the gpu. But if you don't mind a older card and don't need the get the latest and greatest 2080s are more then enough for most things. Want it for video/picture editing general use you won't have much issues building a pc.

Dalemore

GPUs are still expensive as fck and they will be until late next year at the earliest. Whatever you do just don't buy one off eBay you will be paying double MSRP and enabling scalpers.

Kane

You need to invest in…. 151 Rum, pineapple juice and Malibu Caribou get them all numb Make baby girl come, out of her shell and raise hell Don't stop 'til the cops come

Jo Austral

Dude, you're wearing a mask in your profile picture. That's all that needs to be said about how much you actually know about economic trade deals. How about this simple logic test for you, up until Joe Biden took office our economy was running more efficiently and prices were at an all time low across the board until Joe Biden sat down on his first day and passed hundreds of new regulations by way of executive order causing an immediate squeeze on goods and trading across the board and now only 9 months later every subcategory of our economy is crashing more and more by the hour. If you started looking at things through your own eyes it would be hard for you to miss these obvious issues, but just like the rest of you cry babies you are so offended by "the bad orange man that has mean tweets" that you completely lose sight of reality because you allow your opinion to be controlled by propaganda and Twitter.

WILL PULERA

Price is all down to the graphics card now. If you don't need all the bells and whistles ( mainly gaming) then a lower end card will handle all of your video editing easily.

Alex Raven

Yea but that's the problem. Heavily overpriced. I got a 6900xt for 1300 and could probably sell it for 3000 lol it's ridiculous to do anything but a pre built and nzxt is very trust worthy in that case

Jay Carter

I just got two new laptops at Best Buy for myself and my son and they were cheap AF, dude.

Matthew Shaker

They aren’t hard to get. They’re just over priced. You can still get Graphic cards on StockX. Yes, i know it’s a sneakers app but they have them in there too

Mark Bailey

Everything costs more in Joe Biden's United States. Gas is highest in over 10 years, groceries and milk, utilities for your house, and then with the whole vaccine mandates coming from Washington DC your lucky if there's even many computers to choose from on the shelves. But the good thing is if you're going to get one you're better off getting one now because things are only going to get much worse before they get better so get your Christmas shopping done now and anything else you want to buy because shortages of everything are going to be the new normal after Thanksgiving.

WILL PULERA

If you find the parts yourself and build it, it's pretty affordable. The only expensive part is the GPU depending on which one you get. I would recommend you make an account on PC Part Picker website and in the PC building forums put your budget and what you want to use the PC for and there will be people to find the right parts for you. All you have to do is buy them and you can either put it together yourself or have someone else do it. I did this for my first build (I still have it) but I did a lot if research.

Christopher Barnes

Bet hit me up again bro I was hoping the shit had calmed down

Gregory Knight

Generally, everything is slightly more expensive due to the supply chain issues

Tarek Lutfi

The biggest issue currently is still the GPU (graphics card). For high end ones, they're tough to get. The best option for the most part is buying a pre built, and in that case we talked before, I have some companies I'd recommend like NZXT.

Jay Carter

If you really spend the time to build your own, it’s manageable in pricing. Just don’t try to buy anything prebuilt because those prices are still insane.

Dakota Austinson

Man I thought tech as in n9ne

Daniel Lopez

They're not too horrible right now. The worst part will be the graphics card (GPU) but you can still find some great cards for decent prices
