I’d be inclined to lay benzino tf out if this conversation ever took place around me I appreciate you being a good human bro racism really hurts the soul but what benzino said about us white people retarded as hell I’m from Cali and Royce is my goat but objectively Em can’t be touched when it comes to all around weapons

2022-01-11 14:04:43 +0000 UTCGotta give the songs like Phenomenal, and Rap God to show the complexity and how he can just go in and out a beat like the beat flows to him and them showcase songs like Don't Front and Yah Yaw where he pays homage to the ones he mastered his craft from

2022-01-11 00:36:27 +0000 UTCmosh, white america, Stan, Deja vu, not afraid, darkness. The thing that he did on darkness, there is no other rapper that can do that. And he has other songs like that. The story telling is incredible in most of his songs. And then you have the personal things. He put his whole life in the songs. And the heavy topics like drugs/pills abuse, government/society, motivational songs. The list can go on... The thing is that he can give you all those topics and bars and cadence. He always pays homage. No other rapper has a catalogue like that, he is in his own league.

2022-01-10 23:39:47 +0000 UTCGreat point what he's done for the disadvantaged and in franchise communities in Detroit is huge!

2022-01-10 22:41:29 +0000 UTCLook at the rappers that are on “their” top 10 or top 25 or top 100 that Em has, without question, washed on features. Jay, Nas, Biggie, Kendrick, Wayne, Drake, Kanye, Big Sean, Tech, 50, Joyner, Royce, Snoop, Cudi, Boogie, All of Slaughterhouse, All of G Unit, Game, Obie, D12… “If there’s a rapper I haven’t ate, we ain’t battled, either that or they won’t collaborate”

2022-01-10 22:40:32 +0000 UTCThe Shady Cypher is mind blowing!!

2022-01-10 21:57:48 +0000 UTCI think comparison from old em to new em since everybody go to when the think about em is hi my name is and kill you. Like showcasing the growth. Also I think maybe some education on the tools of how em raps that most people may not know what hes doing lyrically.
Jamel Feliciano
2022-01-10 21:34:45 +0000 UTCRabbit run. 8 Mile track, his FREESTYLES. His battle rap background and credibility. The MONSTERS he’s influenced. Not to mention, the absolute legends that not only respect Em, but have said on record that he is that guy. They were talking about how Game washed G-Unit in that listening party, how about when game on a recorded interview said he “don’t fuck with the white boy” in regards to being asked or it being insinuated on why he didn’t diss Eminem during that feud. His fucking sorry telling. Darkness!?! That fucking song is insane. How about the things he’s said and done on wax supporting BLM, and Colin, and standing up (in his own way) for those who no longer can stand up for themselves in the black community. I could literally write all day in this thread. Disclaimer: apologies If any of this has already been mentioned previously above!

2022-01-10 21:11:49 +0000 UTCI mentionned it in the other video, but here's a copy/paste in case you missed it: one of the lanes/tools you could talk about is his personal tracks... He can talk about his personal life in songs, and make it sound good sonically, and make it relatable, with top notch rapping abilities. Examples: The Way I Am, Cleaning Out My Closet, Mockingbird, When I'm Gone, Talking 2 Myself, Going Through Changes etc... I feel like that's probably the biggest key to his success, especially in the first part of his career. Following his life story through his music was basically like following a TV series or a movie saga, mixed with high quality music and top notch rapping abilities.

2022-01-10 21:09:49 +0000 UTCThis^^^ His work on the 8 Mile Soundtrack was arguably some of his best work ever. Between "8 Mile Road" and "Lose Yourself", it's hard to tell which is better. Of course Lose Yourself is iconic, but "8 Mile Road" is just flawless.

2022-01-10 21:08:53 +0000 UTCCut the music away, if I am not mistaken he has numerous charities that he established, also charities that help Detroit only and has donated an estimated amount of over $180 million over the years. Could maybe read more into that, im not sure how true the amount is but the charities are, it might be good to indicate how much he actually does care and give back to the community. He also donated to the health workers of Detroit during the hardest time of the Covid pandemic, free "Moms Spaghetti" so that the health workers could have a decent meal while working ridiculous hours.

Em said he did for Hailie so she'd have her half-sister. The man's heart is full of love. So much pain yet so much love, very complex man!

2022-01-10 20:24:38 +0000 UTCI agree, this is a great idea!!! I can think of many lanes and reasons he's the 🐐. But I'll give you just 3 lane ideas not seen by everybody and the reasons I fell in love with his music. Once in, I learned a whole new appreciation for hip hop in general. These lanes caught my attention and related to my work as a youth counselor, many positive messages about improving one's Mental and Emotional Health can be found. 1) Relationships - Raising awareness (prevention) about toxic love, trials and titubation of wounded souls in love 2) Overcoming Adversity - facing childhood trauma and inspiring others to do the same 3) Motivational - songs about depression, songs that motivate people to get up and get going with their life Stevie I got rhyme schemes to match these lanes if you want to save some time

2022-01-10 20:21:35 +0000 UTCI'm like to teach people on the level they're wrong. Granted I know my name is, isn't that great content wise. However, when you listen to it with a hip-hop ear and pay attention to the syllables and rhyme patterns through out that entire song. In the first 4 lines he made a bunch of words rhyme with violence that don't actually rhyme. Kids, violence, nine-inch (which is also a double referring to the group nine-inch nails), life is. He does those mutli-syllabic schemes the entire song, while being "comical and animated" that's 2 tools in the box right out the gate on his first single.

2022-01-10 20:05:56 +0000 UTCI’m convinced Ems ability came from his “brain damage” incident back in school when he nearly got beat to death. You know how in extremely rare instances it changes them and gives them an inexplicably innate ability that was never there before the injury? I’m convinced that unlocked something in him. It’s not ONE THING that makes Em great. He literally mastered every aspect.
Colin Harris
2022-01-10 20:05:39 +0000 UTCContent! Critics or haters often say he doesn't provide content, but but but, White America, Mosh and Untouchable just off the top of my head. And Darkness too smh
