He can talk about his personal life in songs, and make it sound good sonically, and make it relatable, with top notch rapping abilities. Examples: The Way I Am, Cleaning Out My Closet, Mockingbird, When I'm Gone, Talking 2 Myself, Going Through Changes etc... I feel like that's probably the biggest key to his success, especially in the first part of his career. Following his life story through his music was basically like following a TV series or a movie saga, mixed with high quality music and top notch rapping abilities.

But when u go to a more broad view, a world wide view, Eminem "check all the boxes" that are necessary for the GOAT status: 1 - He came from the bottom. (Rap is about strugle, and the story telling of oneself and others) 2 - He pass thru all the levels with the stacks against him at the beginning. (a white boy at hip/hop shop battling everyone he could to test and prove his skills, them Dre. could have sign any young talent yet EM got the spot, till that point his "skin colour" was working against him.) 3 - He came to the game got what he wanted $$ and the acolyts and he still on the game proving and improving his skill, again and again just for the respect for the Art. 4 - The question of being relatable, he def is, not only fot the "white america" but outside of the US a large amout of ppl relate to him, what his been thru (not only his up briging with the bullyng, Violence in and outside his house, parent abuse, them the drug addiction... and more.) 5 - He has the recognition of the TOP artist and skilled MC's on the planet (Rakim The GOD mc / Jay-z the most Successful MC / Wayne the monster of metaphors / Royce that now is being calling the GOAT of lyricsm / Busta Rhymes, Tech9, Daddy Kane, Kanye, Kurupt, Cassidy and etc...) 6 - He gave back to the comunity wich is a importante and a lot ppl don't know bc he don't advertise ( Upon research Eminem has donated 180M+ to Foundations to help those in need not only in Detroit but around the world.) 7 - He's Reach is so big that you have young/old people around the world whom got "touched" by the art thru his music and became not only his fans but a fans of the genre. 8 - He knows and is a student of the game whom always pay his Homages to those who paved the way so far! 9 - He inspired a whole new generations of Artist (Joyner /Kendric / Big Sean / Cole / Hopsin/ Dax, etc... in the US Alone, he also have international ones like Řezník - Czech / Oxxxymiron, Ektor, Michailov - Russia / Trueno, residente, lit killah, porta , santaflow Latino,Spain / Chisenga - Australia / SOS, NLKREW , Kr$na- Hindi / G-Dragon - Korea / Hideyoshi, Anarchy, C.O.S.A - Japan even outside rap too like in Usher case) 10 - He also created a new Wave of ppl and content that is absurdly HUGE like the reactors/breakdown channels around the world whom dedicate time to watch/listening/study the art of Rap not only his Musics but also those who came bf and after him in the genre. The thing that he did on darkness, there is no other rapper that can do that. And he has other songs like that. The story telling is incredible in most of his songs. And then you have the personal things. He put his whole life in the songs. And the heavy topics like drugs/pills abuse, government/society, motivational songs. The list can go on... The thing is that he can give you all those topics and bars and cadence. No other rapper has a catalogue like that, he is in his own league.

You know hip-hop, know the terminology, you can see the talent and through the BS and bias. You bring an open-mind and passion when reacting to music and present both positive and constructive feedback.
