I’ll give ya an 87% bro

I feel every album has one song that's just so raw and above the others. Still Don't Give A Fuck, The Way I Am, Till I Collapse. Honestly, I think it's the beat. Like, I can imagine him hearing the beat for Way I Am, and just wanting to ride that in the smoothest, non sus, way

Carl Marchiano

Yo he petty af for saying that christina aguilera line when she was sitting next to fred durst and carson daly loll

Carl Marchiano

He set the bar for rap.. i was in ms when this came out… I listened to other rappers, but there was no other Em.. it def made it hard to like mediocre rappers 🤷🏽‍♀️

MssClaudine

The way I am just hit different every time i listen to it…it just hits my soul…definitely his hardest song up to that date

Eric Lemus

I remember being at home with my 3 brothers on this night. Sitting on my granny’s lap at 4 years of age clapping as soon as this came on the tv haha. She had no idea what was happening but this is some of my earliest memories of hearing hip hop for first time. Thank god for older brothers 💯

Pdogg

When i heard "the way i'm " i got pump and cursed at a lot of ppl in school.... and got my ass woop bc of it!!

Peu Oliver Guimarães

I enjoyed seeing Eminem completely Diss Fred Durst on National TV by leaving him hanging while he rapping down the aisle headed to the stage. Watch it again and when Eminem raps about sitting next to Carson Daly and Fred Durst watch Fred go to give Eminem a high five. Eminem completely turns his back to him and continues toward the stage. It's greatness!!!

Heath McCormick

Tell them Stevie us Georgia boys likes them thicc

Jeremy Loyd

Stevie!!! Please do the reactions to "Losing My Life" and "Drugs" by Falling in Reverse, man. You did the first one called "Losing your mind" and I loved the reaction to it. Complete the trilogy, please!

Razvan Gabriel Toma

Nah Stevie I think your like an 8.5/10. I feel like I am a 9 and barely know more

Jordan Kandah

Dam man you just triggered an old memory i forgot about. Funny you should mention the MTV spring break specials cause Eminem performed a couple songs at them during the SSLP run. So I guess it was like spring break 99 maybe? Dam man. I haven’t seen them in years. Might need to hit up YouTube and watch them for some nostalgia.

Steve

Not sure how old you are my guy but I was 10 when this album came out. I used to get picked on so when I heard this and blasted dude who bullied me in the teeth, it changed my confidence level.

Jason Roland

Stevie in 2003 im in my junior year of highschool.. we had TRL come to my highschool.. Emmerich Manual HS.. in indianapolis, Indiana because TRL was doing a country wide tour of HS’s.. i got to meet Carson Daly.. Lala.. and the band Good Charlotte.. we had such a diverse group of students thats why MTV chose us.. sucked at the beggining because we had a whole entrance and the head cheer leader only had to say good charlotte.. and she paused and we had to reshoot the whole thing.. but in da club was the number 1 song on the count down! And not gonna lie La La was and is to this day sexy as shit!

Sup, dawg!

He's not anymore though

kikoolol

Em is the best sounding rapper live in my opinion. Busta is a beast but Eminem used to be able perform a full song with crazy ass syllables and not miss a single step.

caleb

Def remember da spring break thang I'm Ems age exactly you very correct it was runnin shit 💯

MimiLoveee♡

This the first time he stepped in this cadance game up you very correct my fave ...it was up & running from here on the cadance shit 😈

MimiLoveee♡

MimiLoveee♡

I couldn't get this & otha live I dropped u to u fast enough my fave knew it would make yo day betta 💯🖤

MimiLoveee♡

This song literally gave me goosebumps when I first heard it. I wanted to go out and whoop someone’s ass. It for real changed my mood and I was a fan of Tupac before Em and he brought me to appreciate how he put this together. Hands down his best song of the other songs during this point

Danny Pratt

It's Carson and Fred Durst is right behind him in that red hat. LMAO

Jimmy McMinn

Speaking of mtv and BET back in the day reminded me of freestyle fridays on BET. Jin's run was incredible. I was like 12 to 14 at the time. i bet your audience would enjoy you recapping that as well.

David Frericks

The Way I Am solidified me being a life long fan. The catchy pop stuff was fun but if you love hip hop you love this kind of song. Like you said, it just goes hard so I immediately loved it when I first heard it.

Mrs. Smith

I'd say its a toss up between Kill You and The Way I Am for his hardest song up to this point. Christina Aguilera did a diss response on the Real Slim Shady beat and rapped on it. check that out some time

David Frericks

I was 18 when the MMLP dropped. I liked the singles but I def played the ish out of 'The Way I Am' eventhough I wasn't really aware of cadence & stuff. Just the pure power & aggressivness did it for me. No disrespect to 'Stan' but once I heard the story a few times I mostly skipped over it at the time. And yeah even over here (Belgium) MTV was cool. I was glued to the screen since I was 8-ish ready to record anything I liked on VHS tapes.

Sofa King

I had an 85 chrysler 5th avenue car that only had tape deck. I got so good at rewinding "the way I am" that I could rewind it exactly back to the beginning of the song when it was over!!

Isaac LaForce

yo when are you going to start the mmlp2 reactions?

Ricky Martinez
