NEXT EMINEM COMPETITION?

I already know there will be overwhelming bias for Eminem here, but this would def be a dope competition right now.

NEXT EMINEM COMPETITION?

Comments

The good ones learn from eachother so who’s the oldest???

Deann Bennett

How it sounds and comes together as a song should truly matter too, i replied to a comment up above explaining it a bit more at least coming from my perspective

Gary Raffa

Truth!!! Kdot is amazing lyrical rapper, top tier story teller. I love him. Another great artist for reaction channels to disect. Everyone is different though n Im sure soooo many will say the same about Em BUT even when kdot is lyrically killing it, it sometimes just aint pleasant to the ears. Just doesn’t sound right like a weird vibe. Not always of course. And its not always about beats! Cause we all know Em has chosen some horrible beats. And yet, somehow he makes the beat disappear from his overpowering cadences and emotion in his voice. Ive heard Kdot on weird artsy type beats where he is just killing it with his cadences but for some reason I still have the beat giving me a weird vibe. I dunno if any of that makes sense. Its just my opinion which is why Id choose Em. But kdot is terrific,, period

my mum

Beef_Stu

Em has more songs that are storytelling - even his 'horrorcore' shit is still on some Stephen King type of storytelling. Vivid imagery all the time. Em put a word in the dictionary from his storytelling which should sum it up.

C M

Stan and bad guy alone are elite storytelling nobody is touching that

Shirin J

Honestly they both are good story tellers. But I pick Tupac-Brenda’s got a baby. that tops everything in my opinion.

Michael manchester

Déjà Vu, Darkness, Murder Murder, As The World Turns, Talking to Myself, Headlights, Castle, Arose, Stan, legacy, cleaning out my closet, Bad Guy, Going through changes, Guts over Fear, Beautiful, When I’m Gone, Mockingbird, River, Brain Damage, Tje Way I Am, 97 Bonnie & Clyde, Yellow Brick Road, Gulity Conscious Take your pick. These are all bangers story telling. SWA too

Chris Sturgill

Neither of them. Kendrick won the Pulitzer Prize but Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize. That still doesn’t make him a better story teller.

Chris Sturgill

You’re 100% right like that Mona Lisa definitely one of the best verses I’ve ever heard! He’s definitely capable of staying in that lane . Idk if he could do “relapse” tho . I think they’re both very close in writing ability

Cam Alexander

Honestly, the conversations are super fun and I love your Eminem "contests." But long ago I decided I just have people that are GOATed. Too much greatness for there to just be one GOAT. Marshall Mathers and Kendrick Duckworth are both GOATed in my book.

Michael Viggiano

It's def subjective asf but this message was dope

Gregory Knight

Kendricks got fictional characters & story lines too, with meaningful messages.

Gregory Knight

Mr. Peabody

As far as telling real events they’re pretty damn even, ‘Em gets the edge because his ability to take that and create “bad guy” and other fictional stories

Cam Alexander

They are both good. It's just different. I listened to the new EM song and I mean it took me into that party and I could see it all happening. Was it the greatest story? Not really. But, the fact that he can do that is amazing. Kendrick tells stories that I feel like I can see from the outside looking in. Eminem tells stories that make me feel like I'm in the room.

Jimmy McMinn

GKMC Shits on anything Em has done story wise. Em got better bars tho

Rotti Skye

Kdot if not the better story teller has stories about more meaningful subjects. So I'd give it to him.

kikoolol

I’d say Kendricks the better storyteller, that’s his go to thing tho. Kendrick doesn’t have the bars, multi-syllable rhyming, wordplay, delivery etc like em tho.

Colin Campbell

Kendrick’s discography is super overrated. This album trash, Damn, to pimp a butterfly wasn’t all that great either.

steven

Specifically storytelling? That is hard. I don't want to choose. Eminem storytelling was the anthem to my childhood. Kendrick's storytelling was the anthem to my young adulthood. GKMC dropped my senior year of college and that was a wrap. In a broader conversation, I think Em is more versatile. But Kendrick might be the best storyteller ever... I call a tie. I can't pick between someone that can do Bad Guy or Castle/Arose and a guy that can do The Art of Peer Pressure and DUCKWORTH

Michael Viggiano

Stan, Bad Guy, Darkness > Everything. I love both Em & Kendrick... But the songs above just destroy everything.

Joe Asfour

In my opinion Kendrick’s last 4 albums top about half of Em’s discography.

James

Kendrick takes it for me

James

Eminem is in competition with himself only.

Michael Galindo

Kdot is one of the best storytellers in the game. He’s always been top 5 with the pen, imo. My only problem with him is that I don’t always like how he sounds…

Kreshnik Raca

Kendrick is an amazing storyteller. It's not about being biased. It's just that Eminem has been doing it for much longer and has a much broader catalog to back it up . And of course lyricism comes into play when being able to put a story into specific words. Kendrick is a top tier Lyricist but then Eminem is on a level by himself.

kenundrum

There ain't no better story teller I fear😭😭😭😭

toccara

Mother I sober is a great example of Kendrick story telling but the first 2 verses from sing about me are incredible and match up with the best story telling in rap when you add in the cadence, rhyme schemes and all that good shit 🔥

Dylan M

Bad Guy. Castle and Arose. Them 2 alone Vs Kendrick's best. Which you got? Would love to see the vid

Dan Duxbury

Would be a great competition both are incredible story tellers

Dylan M

I was thinking about this the other day

Kevin Bowman

Biased my ass. Nobody is a better story teller

Chris Sturgill
