Pop means popular.. Eminem is extremely popular so yes he's pop. But the problem is is that everyone considers it a genre.

Yes! "I was the G-OAT, once played in rotation at every radio station". When he broke out in the early 2000's he was #1 on the Pop charts, played on Rock and Hip Hip stations too. Reason why people will argue he helped make Hip Hop mainstream because his new fanbase, from different genres, followed his music journey converting many of us along his way - that's how it worked for me anyways. He really did take the music, and media, industry by storm back then

That’s essentially what MMLP is all about. It’s why he trashes Britney, Christina, all the boy bands, and shit like that in a bunch of those records is cause he was this underground rapper signed to Dr Dre and they (media, MTV, radio, magazines, non hop hop heads, etc) labelled Eminem as a pop artist.
This labeling is why the MMLP album is so full of rage.
