It was only when he got rich and famous that his dad tried to get in touch with him, but Em never went through with it, and then his father recently died without ever getting the chance to see his son again..😭 i swear his life is so fucking tragic.. but I'm glad he didn't let his trauma destroy his life. i will forever have so much respect and admiration for this man.

2022-08-19 20:51:48 +0000 UTCthis song makes me cry. his mother is a narcissist who basically did everything to kill him without killing him, neglected him, sued him, drugged him, had affairs here and there, got him addicted to pills, told him she wished he was dead...cant imagine going through all that as A CHILD. i find it absolutely incredible that he wrote this song. if i was him i would never be able to forgive her.

Songs like this bring tears to my eyes on first listen, a few on Revival too. Em has had such a journey and sober and mature Em is a beautiful thing!😍
