He may of not meant any harm or personally attack Elton John but he definitely used his name in early songs by giving a name to gay pop culture. He said in one early song in his hall he got signed sunglasses with Elton johns name on his drag wall. Lol. Cant remember the song. Def a gay reference. Could of been after the friendship though but my point is he knew he was gay.

Em spoke about it in an interview many many years ago. Elton became his sponsor for his recovery. Em isn't one the most verbose people. I wish I could provide you with more detail. Maybe a link, but that was like early 2000's and I was in the middle of the Marines so.... Didn't have a shit load of time.

2022-09-26 18:16:14 +0000 UTCI agree, stan hits a lot more than bad guy. To me bad guy just isn’t sonically pleasing and that is my personal opinion on 80-90% of em’s new stuff. Stan was the MMLP when em was in his prime and his music was just a hell of a lot better. Don’t get me wrong eminem is a lot more technical now than he ever was but that’s not all that matters, I’d much rather listen to young em than old em.
