2023-03-20 21:21:27 +0000 UTCI'm not the biggest fan of Revival, but there are some tracks that I actually like a lot & while it might not be his best album, I really do think it's one of his most OVERLY HATED albums & I think a majority of that is because of the whole "Political Aspect" that ppl had a problem with for some reason (which that "critique" itself is fucking ridiculous because if those ppl actually FOLLOWED Em's whole career, they would already know that he's ALWAYS felt that way about politics & certain political figures). I still like the concept of Revival & respect Em for what he was going for, even if it landed or not. I personally don't think the album is bad or anything, it's just not as great as the ones that came before (although it's LEAGUES BETTER than Encore to me. Encore's only good track that I really liked was Never Enough w/ 50 & Nate Dogg & that was a last minute addition) I will say tho the best thing about all those ppl that were HATING on this album is that it resulted to Em bringing out that monster inside him & he TORE their asses up on Kamikaze lol that album is Em giving a BIG middle finger to those ppl & just 'Hate Culture' in general. So yeah, Kamikaze would probably be the best choice to do next

2023-03-20 21:00:56 +0000 UTCyeah in the curtain call 2 interview em said the main thing that got to him in regards to the revival feedback was that he felt castle and arose were the 2 best songs heβs ever written in his opinion and it was on album that ppl said had sucked so that probably did hurt his feelings a lot
