Are you enjoying the Monkey GO Happy Stages?

Hi, just wanted to check in and see if you are enjoying the stages. I have been going back to some of my favourite old stages and getting inspiration to redesign and recreate the feel of them by creating a whole new stage with new characters but similar layouts. If you have any feedback please let me know.

Hi Klara, or Ahoj, Kláro :) Thanks so much for the feedback. Happy you're enjoying the stages and happy you've been a fan for so long. It's great to hear the games have a comforting impact and I hope you keep enjoying them. Dekuji :)

It's a bit late reply but i saw this post only now. I usually try to not play MGH for about a month or two because one longer and one shorter stage weekly is not enough for me and i love longer session of several new stages after a while :D I completely agree with the code-less bonus stages as someone mentioned here! I always forget to write down the clues and then i'm sad i can't play the bonus stage :( And Robin, i wanted to tell you that i absolutely adore your work all these years, i went through some really tough stuff when i was younger and your monkeys had (and still have) such comforting impact on me. The music, the graphics, the cuteness, it's been always able to calm my brain and help me feel better. It's hard to come up with new ideas and mechanics after so many years and i personally don't mind at all that some aspects are repetetive. I'm just happy that you're still making new stages and i appreciate your handmade work. Playing MGH feels like coming home. Thank you so much <3 PS: for years i played free stages only and when i got to Patreon and read some of your posts and found out that you are originally from the Czech republic, i was so happy and proud, because im from CZ as well! PPS: it's "Klára go happy" for me ♥

Hi Karol, Thanks for your feeback. I'll go and revisit those stages 50-100 and see what changes I could make for the future. I also feel a little stuck and feel like I am repeating myself.

Just go to the first 50-100 levels and take a look that each of them had a unique story and unique mechanics (i know it is hard). Now every level is 1. Collect 40 of something 2. collect some amount of two-part items, 3. 4 combinations to open 4 something to help with point 1. Simply, no more unique mechanics, just different graphics for the same content... But it is easy to criticize - i would not be able to come up with lots of new ideas, so i kind of understand

Thank you Vedran, really appreciate the honest feedback :)

I did not vote because both answers are true for me: I _am_ enjoying them, but I'd also like to see improvements. For starters, I'd like to be able to go backwards in various dials, especially those that go to high numbers. Second, bonus stages expect us to write down the clues from the previous levels. I never do, as I'd lose these notes. Be nice if that wasn't a necessary requirement, as they give conclusions to the stories. Maybe put the solution in the post where you publish them or something similar? I'd also like to see the long Patreon levels become more thematic, like the short ones. Sometimes, the short ones feel too short for the theme that they cover, and long ones feel a bit wasted on random stuff.

When I jumped into MGH, I would play each new game as it was posted but also went all the way to the beginning and played my way through the levels. It was so fun to get a 'fast forward' view of the evolution of your designs! I love seeing some classic elements mixed in with brand new puzzles.

Thanks James, I always appreciate honest feedback :)

This may be an unpopular opinion but I preferred when the Patreon stages were just single levels instead of the series. But overall I love every level and the amount of thought put into them is amazing. Keep up the good work robin!

Having played the Monkey Happy games for many many years I have enjoyed seeing the way you have adapted them over time. I loved the old games immensely, waiting for each to appear and things haven't changed.

Your work and creativity is genial Robin, and I appreciate a lot that you engage yourself so much for us! I like all your smaller or greater masterpieces, so my opinion is just a BIG THANKS!!!

Marina

You amaze me with every stage, Robin. Of course there will be similarities, and it's ok to use past stuff for inspiration. But the way you combine thi gs and add new flavour is joyful. Every time. You're a genius...

Ray Breg

I like the progression of all the series. I wish it was easier to scroll back to the way back stages and replay from long ago!

I’m loving the little evolutions here and there. Both stages are something that I look forward to every week!
