お知らせ（iOSアプリでのApple手数料発生について）

掲題の件につきまして、Patreonより通知がありましたので皆様にお知らせいたします。

■通知内容（本Patreonにおいて影響のある内容のみを記載しています）

PatreonはAppleのアプリ内課金システムを使用しなさいとAppleより義務付けされたとのことで、2024年11月よりiOS版Patreonアプリで新しくメンバーシップに加入される場合、Appleによる30%のApple Store手数料が発生するとのことです。

これはiOSアプリで新規にメンバーシップに加入される方が対象となり、11月以降にメンバーシップを脱退⇒iOS版Patreonアプリで再加入される場合も手数料が発生すると思われます。

しかし、既にメンバーシップに加入されている方は対象外のようです。WebやAndroid版アプリをご利用の方も影響はありません。

つまり、2024年11月以降にiOS版Patreonで新規メンバーシップ加入される方にとって、実質的な値上げとなります。

この手数料についてはクリエイター側の負担が可能のようですが、どれ程の方がiOS版アプリを利用されているか、また今後利用ユーザーがどの程度増加するのか把握するのは困難です。

そのため申し訳ありませんが、今回のApple Store手数料につきましてはiOS版アプリ利用者の負担とさせて頂きます。

Regarding the title, we have received a notification from Patreon, so we would like to inform everyone.

Apple has required Patreon to use Apple's in-app purchase system, and from November 2024, Apple will charge a 30% Apple Store fee for new memberships made through the iOS Patreon app.

This applies to those who sign up for a new membership through the iOS app, and it is believed that a fee will also be charged if you cancel your membership after November and then rejoin through the iOS Patreon app.

However, it seems that this does not apply to those who are already members. Those who use the web or Android app will not be affected.

This means that this will effectively be a price increase for new membership subscribers on the iOS version of Patreon after November 2024.

It seems that creators can cover this fee, but it is difficult to know how many people are using the iOS version of the app, or how much the number of users will increase in the future.

For this reason, we are sorry to say that the Apple Store fee will be borne by users of the iOS version of the app.
