Goku's original mission when he was sent to Earth by his parents was to exterminate all life forms like Raditz mentioned, but since Goku hit his head on a tree branch and damaged his brain, he doesn't remember that mission, his real name, or anything that happened to his planet. He just grew up on Earth like a normal warrior not knowing his real family, that's kinda sad ngl

2025-03-27 21:08:24 +0000 UTC19:56 Itβs because Saiyan names are based on vegetables. Planet Vegeta (vegetables), Kakarot (carrot), and Raditz (radish). Bulmaβs family are named after underwear. Panchy (panty), Dr Brief (briefs) and Bulma (bloomer). And most other characters are named after food, like Pilaf, Gohan, Launch, Oolong, etc. Toriyama was probably hungry naming 80% of this show
