03.01.2022 Recap cont. Gallery tier updates

To rush towards the painful point: I’m going to increase the P-Gallery related pledge thresholds : Stirring Panegyric 65>85 USD and Enraptured Dithyramb100>130 USD.

The reason for this is that I have feature-creeped myself into a bit of a corner ever since I created this format. By this I mean that originally the Stirring Panegyric tier was sitting at 75 USD for a P-Profile only, at a time when those were relatively basic compared to now (you could stuff  8 of them on a single page). Since then I’ve made them more and more intricate, beefing up the standard along with my own expectations, offering a profile alternative and lowering the pledge level to 65 USD, creating the Combo profile for 100 USD when it’s close to double the work… Not exactly sound when it constitutes the bulk of my platform.

I’m not all that good at planning those things out and maintaining discipline, it’s easier for me to focus on making things interesting (mostly for myself mind you!) and never phoning it in. Whatever you enjoy with my art I think that’s part of where it comes from, I’m incapable of not being fully invested so I entertain myself by going a few extra miles, as a result Gallery pics have grown beyond their initial scope. I don’t really want to revert back to that narrower scope, but I need to take some rational steps and ask more for my time, art is my main job and while I’ve been fortunate so far I don’t want to hurt my prospects of keeping it that way by being too lazy to push for growth.

I am also introducing two more tiers and a specific functionality to fill two niches ; people who are interested in portraits/bust redux formats and people who enjoy double features (character mash-ups).

The ‘Emphatic Puffery’ tier sits at 50 USD and covers the aforementioned portraits and busts (Mid ribcage/ Tiddy cut), taking up roughly half of a figure format. There is a 10 slot cutoff that I don’t expect to tickle. This tier will have its own form.

This does mean that I'm cutting the Portrait for additional months in the Archive tier, though people can redeem theirs for this month still.

The ‘Beatific Encomium’ tier (thank you thesaurus) culminates at 250 USD and comes with a Duo Profile, Mashing up two combo profiles for a double feature (you have likely noticed several of those). There is only one slot opened in this tier and it is intended to rotate (you can only pledge one month). However it is not the main way to conjure duo profiles :

Stacking gallery rewards is officially an option now, if someone in the Enraptured Dithyramb/Combo Profile tier wants to forego a Combo pic and wait another round of processing to redeem a Duo, it is now explicitly accounted for. The same can be said of the Stirring Panegyric/Profile tier ; two rounds of processing results in an upgrade to the next tier reward, a Combo profile in this instance. However take note :

-If too many of those movements occur at the same time and throw my pace off balance I will freeze the process, though I don’t think It’ll come to that.

-If one intends to redeem a Duo I must be warned beforehand after the first round of processing, this will be possible using the updated forms by indicating that the current submission is part of a duo, a second submission can then be sent with the same notice, I will then know that I should start work after the next round of processing only.

Whatever you choose to do after considering these changes, know that I am thankful for your support and will remain so whatever form it may take, I hope to entertain and despite the limitations of my craft I am always excited to share what I have.
