I'll make sure to check out Sergio Toppi, italian comics have been a huge part of my childhood and your taste has been beyond impeccable for as long as I've been following you. RED: Living on the Edge is one of my favorite manga of all time and I would have never have found it if not for you.

2022-06-05 15:52:46 +0000 UTCSo many have accumulated over the years I have to filter out so much, on the top of my head in the nsfw scene I revere Bobobo, Great6, Kiyoshirou Inoue, Maguro Teikoku, Motchie to name a few. More broadly in manga; Takehiko Inoue of course, K.Miura, Murata and the top shelf shonen bunch, Hiroaki Samura... Mignola/Frank Miller for comics along with Sean Murphy. There's plenty of Euro artists I like, but the greatest is the unjustly not-so-well-known Sergio Toppi, who in my mind ias the best Inker in the medium bar none, if you like black and white, you absolutely have to look through his stuff!

I like the human body and organic subjects, but there are plenty of other areas that I would probably learn to enjoy if I was more adventurous. I dislike strictly mechanical objects that require discipline to tackle like cars and such, I am thus a bit limited in my scope =)

2022-06-04 21:08:36 +0000 UTCRyu : Pretty good, sobre design for the grizzled boi Ken : I can dig homeless Ken if they tweak his shoto gameplay to match (I hope that's what they are going for) but I think he kept his GI pants, that looks pretty silly. Zang/Dhal/Honda/Blanka : Token changes, could have done with fresh replacements for these guys. Guile : OK, but again, replace him Chun Li : VERY GREAT. Not much physical change but the demeanor is commanding, she feels older, which is delightful. Could have done without the half and half color scheme for the the top of her dress though. Cammy : it's an all right design but despite wearing a swimsuit for so long she doesn't strike me as a woman who would dress like that in civilian life, it's pretty weird. Dee jay : he's fine. Rashid : GREAT if they can keep that silhouette, I fucking hated the tech angle in his sf5 look, that visor and goofy backpack looked terrible. Juri : A bit busy, it's weird that she looks younger than in SF5 and I would have hoped she'd get a bit more tightly wound as her career advances. The inner thigh zippers are really silly. Ed : His SF5 costume was goofy in a bad way, this is more acceptable, if a bit boring. Akuma : is Akuma Luke : He's all right. No really I don't mind him. Marisa : Well well well well well, eager to see her in motion. Jamie : Too tryhard, if he just got rid of that pulled up pants leg and that stupid curly bang I would accept him. Mimi : She's French apparently, I can dig the négligé fighter outfit (hello slutty Abel), but the hip openings are too much. Lilly : Looks silly (fur boots =|). BUT she might look cool in motion JP : They made G work, so I'm gonna trust them on this guy if he is the same kind of grandiose weirdo. Kimberly : Too busy and garish for my taste and Shun'ei made me hate headphones, but again, maybe in motion... AKI : Bold hair, I'm interested. Overall : I like that they are trying to push their lead characters further in their development (SF standards are low =D) I think that for what they are trying to do, the designs are mostly fine, but often needlessly heavy handed, I'd really love it if they could go back to SF's simple and effective roots. New chars are middling. Where are the younger fighters coming back as adults ? Mature shoto Sakura ? Accomplished ninja Ibuki? More perfect Elena ? Heavyweight Ballbreaker Makoto ? Omega witch Menat ? They are half-assing things dammit, I was hoping for an SFIII wipe. Thank you for the question.
