2024-07-02 16:18:58 +0000 UTCUnfortunately it's a TPS so my brain shuts down instantly (unless it has mechanics like deep movement or melee to justify it there is never a reason to shift to tps for shooters IMO). In principle Valve hasn't given anyone a reason to be too fearful and hero shooters are a perfectly fine genre, we will see.

2024-07-02 16:13:35 +0000 UTCI don't think it's necessarily beneficial to seek systematic expansion and growth in every hobby or interest, breaking into the mainstream can dilute established qualities but I won't venture into line-drawing territory on that topic =) I don't personally have anything I can think of that has that push and pull going on!

2024-07-02 16:12:29 +0000 UTCMarissa 1 is legit good SF style design, some find her hair too goofy but IMO SF has a history of that and it fits perfectly, 2 and 3 are pretty good inkeeping with her temperament and theme. Base Manon is also very good, minus the hip openings which are a little forced and could be covered in a sporty black mesh maybe. 2 is fine on the character but I don't like it ingame, the upper mass is really jarring, like most "high fashion" stuff it's not meant to be moved around in. I'm not a fan of 3, I feel the character wouldn't wear that without a twist and it doesn't suit the fighting style. All 3 Lily outfits are good, fun iterations on her theme with a solid element of simplicity.

2024-07-02 16:06:35 +0000 UTCWell as the name implies it's just a thread where you can drop characters, if somebody is specifically pledging to get a suggestion through I wouldn't recommend it as there will be many more suggestions compared to slots. I also want to keep it light and not address every single sug, might be a good idea to recommend posting 2 or 3 characters instead of 1 however.

2024-07-02 15:52:50 +0000 UTCSelf-driving will eventually happen but like most of the Musk brand of futurism I feel it's just vapid wank, (EuroCommie warning) the issue of transport in relation to energy and city planning can never revolve around individual vehicles or fringe SUPERFASTPODTUBE-like gadgets, which are in essence horribly suboptimal systems. France doesn't like overt displays of wealth and public eccentricities from the mega rich (the latter being Musk's only legacy), so by default we kinda hate him =)

2024-06-17 01:09:48 +0000 UTCHad a SNES, N64 and then Gamecube, my console days were exclusively spent on Nintendo hardware (aside from a Dreamcast) at home so I feel more attached to Mario. I have fond memories of the Megadrive Sonics but contrary to his counterpart Sonic never found consistently good footing after that I think.

2024-06-17 00:55:32 +0000 UTCGiven the smaller relative size of the country it's harder to find truly rural areas that feel very distant from cities, but they exist. I don't have much experience as I have always lived in cities, generally city centers, but you'd likely find things you would expect from that environment, a slower flow of time, a high density of older folk and a lack of services. Small scale agriculture is suffering also, so for these communities times are a bit depressing I believe.

2024-06-17 00:48:42 +0000 UTCI have a legit rage problem on some games, I was cursed with an appeal for competition but a horrible lack of game sense and discipline, so rage inducing situations have been frequent. I almost exclusively blamed myself though, insulting my own skills in colourful and non-constructive ways. Might have destroyed a keyboard or two =X I could never really find a solution so I just kinda avoid competition altogether now!

There's no particular stigma here for all the conventionally placed ones but if they creep too high above the collar bones it will likely been seen as unserious and distasteful =O

2024-06-03 15:42:37 +0000 UTCI only started following the FGC around the release of SF4, I had casually played SF2/Alpha and a bit of KOF in my youth. I got pretty invested in the early 2010's, playing a lot of SF and MVC3, never got gud but it was a good time. The city I live in had the biggest tournament in Europe at the time so I got to see plenty of great competition but the only year I entered would have been 2012 or something in MVC3, went far with SHulk/TronBonne (+Akuma), almost to the stage! Thus began and ended my active FGC foray =) Since then I've gone back to watch competition but these days the FG side of the event has shrunk considerably so I've lost touch. I no longer really play'em, but I still love that genre.
