Just Curious Fighting game roster preference
Added 2024-08-06 20:26:44 +0000 UTCEdit 15.08.24: While SF is expected to lead, I am surprised Guilty gear sits at a comfortable second! Kof and SoulCal have great classics but it doesnt help that the former is in a rather weak era on the artistic side and the latter has kinda dropped off with no real sign of recovery. Tekken has always been a bit polarising I feel, it has its own atmosphere and appeals to a slightly different crowd. I never got into it though I can appreciate its qualities. MK lagging behind is also unsuprising, I think a lot of great work has been done on the designs they don't have as much pull with us weebs =>
Thank you for responding!
I'm no longer a FG player, as I don't have time to invest in learning and have no innate skills, however most of my favorite VG character designs come from that genre and I'm interested in knowing where my audience's preferences lie!
So here's a quick poll;
regardless of your level of engagement with the gameplay aspect, which legacy fighting game's roster/style/vibe/atmosphere/waifu reservoir is dearest to you?
Multiple answers allowed, but be responsible and discerning!
-Not including Smash Bros because it's a mashup!
-Not including Franchise games like DBFZ!
-Lots of omissions naturally, feel free to specify in the comments!
