A Promise Best Left Unkept V0.2.5 - Passed Out (15$) Tier
Added 2022-01-19 19:55:40 +0000 UTCV0.2.5 is a bit smaller than my other updates (17.5k words vs 20k+ words), and doesn’t have as much action as I would have liked it to. Unfortunately, that kind of downtime is bound to happen sometimes, even more so with the rule system and Laura wanting to fight back. I did have the opportunity to implement a few things because I had a bit more time on my hands though.
Scene replay
You can now replay the sex scenes directly from the menu. You can find the option in the extra section, right next to the CG gallery. It was a bit harder to implement than I had first envisaged (because of the rules, mostly), but I knew it was an addition that was kinda mandatory.
Phone system
I coded a simple phone system where the protagonist receives messages/images on his phone. It’s nothing groundbreaking or anything, and I’m not sure that it will be used all that much in this game, but it’s something that I want to use more often going forward. So the time investment was worth it since I’ll be able to use it in my next projects.

Game size
I was able to reduce the size of the game to a third of what it was by simply changing the image format of the CGs from JPEG to WEBP. Normally, there shouldn’t be any noticeable change in quality. So there are only upsides to this!
Though, since I tried to implement a lot of things at once, it wouldn’t be surprising if some of you encounter errors or bugs. If it does occur, please let me know.

2022-01-21 14:32:54 +0000 UTCI really loved Laura's presentation CG, I think the new artist did really good with that one (especially after everybody was wondering whether the artist will picture Laura in a good way) but I really dont like Aya's bikini pictures. Those are just too unrealistic, out of proportion and bimbo-like for my taste.

Will try to be careful from now on. For the CGs, most times I can’t really be too picky because I kinda have a deadline. Hopefully, since I have more artists, I’ll have the opportunity to be more strict when it comes to proportions.

Whenever I update Renpy (the engine I use for the game) I always need to change some of its files in order to make the button in the CG Gallery bigger and centered. I just forgot to change those files this time around. Will be fixed for the next version.

2022-01-20 16:32:25 +0000 UTCAmazing update, really enjoyed both scenes, the abundance of art especially compared to earlier updates and the writing (as always). Apart of that I also want to give some feedback/critics: Zoppie already mentioned most of it and I can only agree with that - especially the one CG in the bathroom scene with the leg where the proportions look very weird , as well as the office pic. I personally also really didnt like the two bikini pictures of Aya, I dont like how her body is drawn by the new artist (the outlines and definitions of the body turn outward far too much and look like flesh bumps. Its just too drastic and extreme. Maybe thats something that could be adjusted someday... other than that this was a great update, also with the new phone features beeing added (though I was wondering if it wasnt a bit too early that Luca showed Harry such a very revealing picture of laura, featuring her chain and her glasses). One wish I have for the future concerning Harry would be that I would love to see him not becoming such a pathetic, extremly jealous, unlikeable protagonist such as Sam in The Edge of. I would rather like to see him beeing oblivious most of the time and not turning completly crazy to begin with.

Point of critic is 2 of the art pieces was a bit off locking, the legs in the batroom sceene looked too be inverted and Lauras head is oversized in the office sceene like some mentioned in the preview. The only writing critic is that Laura mentions a bra that she very obviously is not wearing :D
