A Promise Best Left Unkept V0.5.5 - Tipsy (5$) Tier

I just want to prelude with the fact that I didn’t plan at first to write an alternative ending to the Nomal Path. That choice was made after seeing interest toward a certain type of ending that I wasn’t particularly eager to write. Hopefully I did a good job nonetheless. From now on, if I think of an ending that wasn’t plan beforehand, I’ll poll it first to make sure that there is in fact interest for it.

V0.5.5 is the first update (out of two) for the alternative ending to the Normal Path. In order to reach it, you need to choose “Let's make a family together” when prompted during the wedding scene. The update adds two medium-sized sex scenes, around 16k words, and 7 CG sets. Although, as I mentioned previously, there are two CG sets that I’m less than impressed with, let’s say.

By the way, I want to point out that I will probably run another poll early next month for the next path after the Abrupt Path. It’s kinda necessary if I want to prepare for it (for the artists and whatnot).

I'm not a big fan of Harry, but man, I really hate Luca and wish he'd get some kind of bad ending himself.

I trust you and your decision. I just wanted to voice my opinion because the people who are requesting specific scenes are quite vocal, but there is also a less vocal group who is like, "you are the captain. We are here for the ride."

I understand the concern. It’s not that I never ever planned to write something like that per se, it was just not in my priorities. I’m just not that big of a fan of epilogue-like endings, unless it has a clear purpose, but I know that a lot of people do. I didn’t try to add story elements that didn’t fit the narrative, and I had fun writing it still. But yes, I know that depending on where you stand, it could be seen as a slippery slope. Which is why I had to think of an idea that fitted well with the universe and the characters, while simultaneously appealing to me as well.

I personally prefer when the author keeps their vision instead of trying to please fans. We all have some things that we would like to see in the story, but if it doesn't fit the author's narrative, it feels forced, and no one is happy.
