One year anniversary of A Promise Best Left Unkept, and how to celebrate it

Next month will mark a whole year since I released V0.1.0 of A Promise Best Left Unkept. I first want to thank every single one of you for still supporting me. I know it's not easy for everyone with the current economy, so I feel really fortunate to be able to work on what I love full time.

I also want to point out that I have yet to miss a single month; I've been able to release an update every month since I first created this Patreon page. I'm proud of that fact, even though it pretty much means the death of my social life. I'll probably take a break… soon… one day… probably… *cough* *cough*…

For the first-year anniversary of A Promise Best Left Unkept, at first, I wanted to commission a custom art like I did in the past, but then I felt like it was a bit of a waste of both money and opportunity (not to mention, it's not very original). So instead, I decided that I would like to do something special.

I've been toying with this idea for a while. I've been meaning to create a higher Patreon Tier with access to bonus scenes. But I don't like when bonus scenes that add to the story are behind a paywall. So instead of writing scenes that are directly related to the story, my idea was that people would write their own desired scene in the comment section on a thread, and then, depending on the number of upvotes (or heart, in Patreon case), I would take the five ideas that are the most popular and run a poll with them. The idea that wins would then become a scene of 1k to 3k words that I would write, and implement the next month. The goal would be to release a new bonus scene every two months in a perfect world.

The first month -> idea gathering + vote

The second month -> write + implement

Those bonus scenes would then be exclusive to that higher tier for at least a month before maybe trickling down to lower tiers. Though, if it does, maybe they will be web-only for the lower tiers. I'm not sure yet. I would want those scenes to be exclusive to this Patreon page if I'm being honest.

The thing is, I don't know if I'm biting more than I can chew. I want to be sure that I can deliver something that's worth it, at least. Which is why I want to try it out with everyone at first. It would be a good way to test the idea and also a good way to celebrate the first year of A Promise Best Left Unkept. Every tier would also have access to this particular scene.

So the rules are simple. If you have an idea, no matter what it is, you write it in the comment section. Make sure it's a first-level comment (don't reply to a comment with an idea). I don't want anything too specific. I'm not here to be your personal writer, I want to have fun writing the scene as well, or else it might show in my writing. I want small, concise sentences.

Ultimately, what I want to know is:

Who: who is fucking who (Threesome max/The characters must be from the game)

Where: where are they fucking

How: A description of the scene (A single sentence, if possible)

When: If there's a specific period of time that this scene takes place relative to the game, you can add it. Else, skip this.

Outfit: If the character is wearing a specific outfit, else skip this.

Position: The sexual position. If you can, add an image for clarity purposes. I'm not in your head.

Why: This is for the intent. If there's a specific reason behind the act, specify it.

Here's an example of the kind of description that I want. Please, copy the form so it's easier for me:

Who: Laura and Luca

Where: In Harry's living room

How: Harry is watching porn on the TV, or at least he thinks he is, but actually Laura and Luca are in a big box in form of a giant television, fucking in front of him. (please, not something too hard to draw. My artists would kill me)

When: After Laura and Harry married in the Family ending.

Outfit: Laura is disguised as a pig

Why: Laura's dream has always been to be a literal television.

There might be things that I've forgotten. I'm not sure. Don't be surprised if some ideas are dismissed because of their unfeasibility. Also, please keep in mind that if you write something weird like gay sex between Harry and Luca, I might not be able to do it. I don't think my artists would be very pleased with me. Another thing, but this scene won't be animated—at least, it won't be a fluid animation.

By the way, this is also a good way to see a scene that *might* have happened at the end of one of the endings.

I will run a poll with the five ideas that have the most upvote (hearts) in five days. So you have five days to come up with an idea and vote. If there are more than five ideas with the same number of upvotes, five out of those will be chosen at random.

Hopefully, I can deliver the scene next month, though please keep in mind that, again, I might be a fucking idiot biting more than I can chew.

Also, please share your thought on the idea as a whole (with the higher tier and everything). Depending on your opinions, I might change some things, or just give up on the idea completely. Your thoughts are really important to me.

One last thing, but be careful not to write spoilers in your comments, if possible. More precisely about this month's update since not everyone has played it.

I'm sure I won't regret this idea in a day... right?
