A Promise Best Left Unkept V0.7.0 – Passed on/Passed out (25$/15$) Tiers

Alright, so I have a lot of doubts about this update. I can already imagine what kind of criticism I might receive for it, but I don't think I could have done it any other way. In this update, we reach the first ending of the Hero path out of two endings. The update is about 18k words long, has 3-ish sex scenes, and introduces 6 new CG sets.

In order to reach the first ending of the Hero path, you need to choose to still trust Laura when prompted for it. Here's the full list of choices in order to reach the Hero path and its first ending:

• 1. I... I can't...!
• 2. It's probably in my head
• 3. I want to see Laura
• 4. Trust Laura
• 5. Stop thinking about it
• 6. Don't
• 7. That's fine
• 8. Go find Laura
• 9. I do understand
• 10. Trust her still

BUT! Even if we reach the first ending in this update doesn't mean that the other branch doesn't have content!

That's right… The first ending is only 10k words in length, so there's still 8k words' worth of content by choosing not to trust Laura. So please, don't forget to backtrack after reaching the first ending to start the other branch of the path.

There are other small changes that I made while I was at it…

Animated another old scene

I already mentioned that I would still animate old scenes if/when I have the chance, even though we haven't reached the goal for it yet. I just feel like it's kinda weird to have half the game made with two-frame animations, and the other half made with smooth animations. Here's hoping we reach the goal soon so I can animate all the scenes before V1.0.0.

Polished the Ending Selection menu

It was kind of awkward to always make the game start at the "Luca's proposal" scene when choosing which path you wanted to start from in the Ending Selection menu. So I just made it so that you can either choose to start at the beginning of the path (Luca's proposal scene) or at a specific ending for that path. In that example, this is the normal route. So you choose to start at the beginning of the path, or start directly at the Future or Family ending.

Logo

I also added a logo to the Main Menu. It's not very good—it's very basic—but that's the kind of thing that is outside of my area of expertise, and I need a logo if I want to publish the Steam page of the game soon. So it will do for now. If someone is good with logos and thinks he can do a better job, you can always contact me privately if you want.

Download

This stresses me out a bit. I made it so that Patreon is now linked to my website. So from now on, you will download the game directly from my site. Here's the link in order to download the game:

The reason why it stresses me out is that I'm used to things not working properly—in tech, particularly. So while I made some test, and everything should be smooth… I feel like the moment people will try to use it, it will break down and burn. So if there's any problem, please reach out to me. The reason I'm releasing the game early is so that I can (hopefully) manage the tech issues.
